Chapter 361
Chapter 361 Trap
“I don’t need to report to you about my rtionship with others. Your tricks would deceive everyone
even if I did not attend the press conference.”
Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDra/ma.O(r)g!
While speaking, a hint of coldness and sarcasm shed across Cecelia’s clear eyes.
“I will figure it out even if you don’t tell me.”
Olivia had leaked trade secrets, so the Songo Group would pursue the matter and let her
compensate. Queenie had contacted her assistant, who said he woulde to Porema in three
days to resolve the issue in person.
“Let’s put this matter aside for now. What is your purpose foring to the Songo family? Why did
you ask my father such a question during the meal?”
“Take my question literally. I want to find out why my grandmother left the Songo family. It’s none of
your business.”
“I’m not interested in your affairs. I advise you not to break the rules of the Songo family or get
involved in our family affairs! If you want to find out what happened to your grandmother, you
should go to where she used to live.”
“Where?”
Seeing her take the bait, Queenie pointed forward and said, “The back garden of our house. Go
straight, and you will see a walled courtyard in the west. That’s where she lived when she was
young.”
Cecelia was stunned to hear that the locked ce she and Fiona had seen in the back garden was
her grandmother’s former residence.
“I have passed by that ce once. It is locked.”
“Daisy has the key.”
Queenie turned around, saying, “Don’t say I told you about it.”
After she left, Cecelia stood in ce and pondered for a moment. Then, she decided to go into the
mysterious ce to look. After making up her mind, she went to ask Daisy for the key.
Hearing her want to enter West Garden, Daisy was so frightened that her face turned pale. Then,
she said, “Cecelia, you must not go there!”
“Why?”
“Old Mr. Songo does not allow people to enter there without permission. Anyone breaking the
punished. I will be finished if he knows I give you the key.”
Hearing this, Cecelia understood Queenie had deliberately revealed the information to her to lure
her into West Garden. Once she went there, she would break the rules and be punished by Alfred.
Queenie had deliberately set up a trap for her!
After seeing through her trick, Cecelia wanted to go in to have a look more. Otherwise, Queenie
would have carefully plotted against her in vain.
Cecelia curiously asked, “Daisy, why can’t people go in? What’s inside? I heard my grandmother
used to live there when she was young. Why can’t I go in to have a look?”
“A person is living there. I am responsible for delivering food to him every day. But I can only put the
food at the door. I can’t go in either.”
“Really? Who is living there? Fiona said a psychopath who kills people is inside. Is it true?”
Cecelia insisted on getting to the bottom of the matter.
“Yes. Jesper has a weird temper. It is difficult for outsiders to get close to him. He has violent
tendencies so he might have killed people.”
Cecelia patiently asked, “Who is Jesper?”
Daisy knew a lot, so Cecelia believed she could get helpful information.
Daisy exined to make her give up, “Jesper used to be the butler of the Songo family. I heard he
suddenly went crazy and stabbed people with a knife. But he had saved Old. Mr. Songo’s life
before. Old. Mr. Songo settled him in West Garden and decided to support him for the rest of his
life. He does not allow us to get close to Jesper for our safety.”
Daisy was panicked when she advised, “You must not go there!”
The forbidden ce must have something fishy. And the former butler might know something about
her grandmother. So, Cecelia would take the risk to go in. But she could understand Daisy’s
concerns and difficulties and said, “Daisy, I promise not to implicate you after you let me in. Please
give me the key. You can say you identally lost it. And I will say I picked it up.”
“But…”
When Daisy hesitated, Cecelia suddenly held her cold hands and pleadingly looked at her, saying,
“Daisy, please! Can you help me?”
“No! Please forgive me. I can’t give it to you. I’m just a maid. And I need to support my family. I
can’t!”
While speaking, Daisy burst into tears. Cecelia understood her worries andforted her, saying,
“It’s OK. I no longer want the key. You don’t need to give it to me. But can you do me a favor?”
“What favor?”
“If someone asks you whether you gave the key to meter, please say yes!”
Although Daisy didn’t understand why, she still nodded.
After they parted ways, Cecelia went to West Garden alone. On the way, she contacted Remington
and learned they were dining elsewhere. After she told them her n, Remington and Adam
decided to meet her after the meal.
She passed through the back garden and headed west. Then, she saw the walls and locked the
door. A lock could not stop her. She had plenty of ways to get in if she wanted to. She removed a
thin iron wire and fiddled with the lock. Soon, she sessfully picked up the lock.
Opening the door, She quietly walked in with curiosity.
The scenery inside was different from her imagination. It was not deste or decadent. Instead, the
garden had been carefully cared for and managed. Everything looked well-organized and full of
vitality.
There were a lot of irises, and the purple flowers were in full bloom. When the breeze blew, they
looked like many purple butterflies gracefully dancing.
They reminded her that her grandpa had nted iris flowers in Canes Mansion because her
grandma had loved it.
Cecelia continued walking inside. Then, she saw a house with many bonsais of different shapes
outside. It did not look like a ce where a mentally ill person lived.
There was arge water tank in the middle of the yard with a bamboo tube for water cirction, so
the water was constantly flowing. And there were beautiful goldfish in the tank.
When she reached out to touch the wind chime on the bamboo tube, it made a crisp sound. But
suddenly, she heard an angry beasting from behind.
After slowly turning around, she saw a ferociousrge wolfdog baring its fangs to warn her.
Suddenly, it angrily barked and rushed over.
