    Damien didn’t say anything. She had no choice but to say, “If… If there’s nothing else, I’ll leave first.”


    Damien paid no attention to Jessica and untied the ribbon on the cake box.


    There was a chocteyered cake in the box.


    “You’re only allowed to eat one piece. No more than that.”


    He cut the cake and handed a slice to her on a te.


    Ava looked at him in fear. She couldn’t decipher the emotions in his indifferent eyes.
