    “Rest assured, my daughter. Let me handle this matter, I will make Ye Qn hand over the person. I won’t let this matter rest, I will make Su Hongxing suffer a thousand times more than you.” Cao Meiyu said fiercely.


    Afterforting Zhou Luhe for a while and seeing her drift back to sleep, Cao Meiyu called Zhou Peng out of the ward: “Call that woman Su Hongxing over right now!”

    Finally, on the fifth call, the call connected.


    An extremely exasperated Cao Meiyu immediately started cursing: “Su Hongxing, you wretch-”


    “What an excellent upbringing the Cao family has. Indeed, like mother, like daughter.” It was Ye Qn’s calm and gentle voiceing through from the other end of the phone.


    “Ye Qn, how dare you treat my daughter like this?!” Upon hearing that it was Ye Qn, Cao Meiyu shouted in rage.


    “It’s because Zhou Luhe’s disgusting face displeases me; you annoy me, and I can pull your teeth out just the same,” Ye Qn responded calmly.


    “You dare?!” Cao Meiyu was so furious she was gasping for breath.


    Ye Qn let out a deep chuckle, until theughter gradually faded, he said slowly: “Cao Meiyu, you cane over now, see if I dare toy a hand on you!”


    Cao Meiyu was momentarily short of breath, she quickly remembered that she was supposed to be asking for Su Hongxing, “Put Su Hongxing on the phone!”


    “The person who had Zhou Luhe’s teeth pulled was me. If it wasn’t for Hongxing stepping in, Zhou Luhe’s teeth would have already beenpletely pulled out by me. You should be thanking Hongxing for being so kind; it’s her who saved Zhou Luhe. On what grounds are you here to confront us?”


    After a pause, Ye Qn added calmly: “Cao Meiyu, you’d better listen well. Hongxing is mine; she wears mybel, Ye Si’s. If you dare to harm her or cause her the slightest harm, I will make you wish you were dead. Even the entire Cao Family, I will wipe them all out! That’s all I have to say, remember it.”


    Because it was on speaker, Su Hongxing heard clearly the conversation between Cao Meiyu and Ye Qn.


    She looked at Ye Qn’s face in a daze, thinking he must have done it on purpose.


    He knew she hated him, yet he sought to dissolve her hatred in this way, thinking that she could continue to casually be his lover, bear his children…


    Ye Qn looked up to meet Su Hongxing’s stunned gaze.


    He sighed softly, pulling her to sit on hisp, and said softly: “Don’t be scared, Cao Meiyu and her daughter Zhou Luhe dare not do anything to you, I will do my utmost to protect you.”


    He wasn’t able to be a part of the past twenty years of her life, but he hoped that in the next one year, or ten years, or even the rest of his life, he could be by her side. When others bully her, he would stand up for her, and shield her from the world.
