Chapter 45 The Heirloom Ring
After Sylvia left, Freya changed the TV channel again with the remote control.
Even though she had seen some of the shows two years prior, she couldn’t recall the ending, so re-
watching them felt new.

Freya was engrossed in the show when her phone rang, and when she checked it, she saw that
Radley was calling.
Freya clicked her tongue. Thest time, this jerk informed her that his grandma was ill and wanted to
speak with herter that evening to discuss something, but ten dayster, she had still not heard from
him.
Answering the phonezily, Freya said, “What’s up, Mr. Monaghan?”
On the other end of the line, Radley’s voice was cold and stern. “Freya, is my grandma with you?”
Freya’s rxed nerves tightened instantly. She sat up straight and asked, “Why would she be with me?
Did she get lost?”
Radley responded in an icy tone. “Yes. She kept saying she wanted to see you, so I thought she might
come to you after she recovered.”
“Come to me?” Freya hurriedly got up. Tm leaving right now to look for her. You should also send
someone to find her!”
Where would Grandma go if she got lost?
Freya, dressed in her home clothes, got into and started her car, only to realize she had no memory of
anything. Her entwined feelings of affection and anxiety eventually led her to Smalzot Yard, where
Radley lived. She’d overheard some young girls talking about the general direction of Smalzot Yard at

“Oh, it’s Frey! I was just going to see you.” Danie smiled sweetly.
“Grandma, why are you walking around by yourself?” Freya spoke somewhat irritably and bitterly as
she had been worried sick this whole time.
Danie took Freya’s hand and gave her something cool to the touch. “Frey, I’ve been meaning to give
you this but I kept forgetting.”
“What is it?” Freya drew her hand back and discovered a gemstone ring with delicate patterns, clearly
an antique.
This is a precious Monaghan family heirloom that we passed down to the daughter-inw. I didn’t give
it to your mother-inw, but I’m giving it to you.” Danie took Freya’s hand and whispered, “Don’t tell
your mother-inw.”

Freya hesitated. She and Radley were already divorced, so it wasn’t her house.
When she got out of the car carlier, she had been too focused on catching up with Danie and hadn’
taken her phone, so she couldn’t contact Radley,
By the time they arrived at the entrance. Danie had been dragging Freya for about half the street.
She looked at Freya with a smile on her face.
“Frey,” said Danie.
The guard at Smalzot Yard was surprised to see Freya, but he quickly opened the gate when he saw
Danie with her.
This was Freya’s “first time” in Smalzot Yard. Thendscaping was lovely, and the trees along the road
shaded half of the sky. The air was thick with the scent of trees.

Not long after they arrived, the sound of a car’s engine could be heard behind them.
Freya turned around and saw Radley’s car approaching. He quickly exited the vehicle, nced over at
Freya, and was momentarily startled before nodding to acknowledge her presence.
At this, Freya nodded subtly.
Danie also saw him and asked, “Radley, you’re home! Why aren’t you at thepany at this time?”
Radley quickly stepped forward and helped Danie. Grandma, you should tell the butlers when you
leave the house next time. Let them take you, okay?”
At this point. Danie had be slightly more conscious. She questioned with a frown. “Did I not tell
them? I just want to look for Frey. How did I get here?”
In the living room. Freya sat with Danie on the sofa, while Radley went to the side to make a phone
call. She could faintly hear words like “found” and so on.
Shortly after. Radley turned around to face them.
Danie’s primary reason for leaving the house was to look for Freya. During all of this, Danie spoke
to Radley.
“Radley, I brought a gift for Freya. Take a look! It was given to me by your great-grandmother. I should
have given it to your mother, but knowing that it would eventually be given to Frey, I gave it to her.”
Freya, who had been clutching the thumb ring the entire time, quickly released her grip and handed the
thumb ring to Radley
“Grandma said this is a family heirloom Here, take…” Freya’s words were not finished yet, and Danie
frowned and pulled her hand back.
“This is to be passed on to the daughter-inw and granddaughter-inw! Why would you give it to
Radley? Don’t mind him! How dare he take what is yours!”
When Freya heard that, she felt a little embarrassed and at a loss.

should keep it.”

Radley silently scanned Freya’s face with his eyes.
How could she be pregnant? He’d only been with Freya a few times, and she’d eventually taken the
