Nick.

As soon as he stepped out of the car, he looked up and saw Grace waiting for him, still adorned in

“Sister Grace, you look stunning tonight. We only met during the day, but it feels like it’s been more
than half a month. I actually miss you,” Nick expressed with a smile.
Grace rolled her eyes yfully, “Oh, so now you’re learning to be smooth–tongued too?”
She continued, “You must have had a long day. How did things go with the Evans family?”
“The Evans Group has filed for bankruptcy, I made sure they would repay all the ill–gotten money they
umted. However, the amount is substantial, so it will take some time. As for Jade, she has been

Grace simplyughed, choosing not to say anything in response. Side by side, they walked through the
garden towards the living room of the vi.
As they entered the living room, Nick leaned close to Grace’s ear and whispered, “Originally, Edgar
wanted to join us tonight, but I didn’t bring him along. I wanted it to be just the two of us without any
interruptions”
His voice trailed off abruptly when he noticed Edgar standing in the stairwell, his cold gaze fixed upon
him.
Nick’s expression turned sour, mirroring Edgar’s displeasure. The eyes of the two men locked from a
distance, and in that instant, sparks seemed to fly, filling the air with tension.
