Briana unconsciously gripped the front of Maxim’s shirt, the distance between them gradually closing.

Another bout of silence ensued, until just as Briana’s patience was about to run out, Maxim finally
spoke: “Um, my mom has gone missing.”
After hanging up the phone, Briana quickly changed her clothes and drove to the Yoder’s house.
