The next morning, Briana received a phone call from Norma.
“Briana, I received an invitation from an old friend to go to a resort this weekend. Are you avable?
Would you like toe with me? I heard we can go horseback riding and there is also an amusement
park there.”
Norma didn’t want to go originally, but after hearing about these projects, she thought she could take
Briana to rx and maybe even bring Maxim along, hoping to repair their rtionship.
A hint of surprise shed in Briana’s eyes. She thought for a moment and realized that she indeed had
nothing to do over the weekend, so she agreed.
“Sure, should Ie pick you up or meet you directly at the resort?”
“I will go to the vi to pick you up.
Briana hesitated for a few seconds and finally spoke up, “Grandma, actually I lived in the north of the
city now.”
Norma frowned, “You and Maxim separated?!”
Thinking about their current rtionship, Briana didn’t know how to tell Norma, so she vaguely said,
“It’s not a big deal. It’s just that this area is closer to my currentpany, so I decided to live here.”

Briana pursed her lips and spoke softly, “Grandma, you don’t have to

“If you had really handled things well, you wouldn’t have separated. I’m going to call Maxim, and if he
doesn’t bring you back soon, I won’t let him off the hook!”
“Grandma…”
Norma hung up the phone before finishing her sentence.
Briana was dialing when Norma was already on the phone with Maxim.
She sighed with some helplessness and put her phone aside to start getting ready.
When I finished getting ready to go out, I realized that Maxim had sent several messages.
“Briana, what did you tell Grandma about Kiley?!”
“Originally, Grandma already had a bad impression of Kiley. You told her about you moving out, and

hook!”
“What kind of love potion did you give Grandma? She unconditionally stands on your side! I told her
that you wanted to move out on your own, but she didn’t believe me!”
Briana looked at the messages Maxim sent defending Kiley, but there was no expression in her eyes.
She deleted the text message and left for work.
It was soon the weekend, and Briana had already tidied up at home, waiting for Norma toe over.
Briana hesitated for a moment when she saw Maxim’s car parked at the

“Sit in the front!”
Briana nced at Maxim, who was sitting in the driver’s seat, and said calmly, “I’ll sit in the back so I
can chat with Grandma.”
Norma desperately wanted to repair their rtionship and quickly said, “Briana, my old friend will be
sitting in the back rowter. It will be a bit crowded with three people, so you should sit in the front.”
Hearing this, Briana felt a bit helpless and could only go sit in the passenger seat.
If she had known that Maxim was also going, she would have refused Norma at that time.
Just as I got on the car, Maxim suddenly leaned over.

Norma watched from behind, her heart filled with worry. Judging by the looks of it, the conflict between

In the past, even if the two of them had conflicts, Briana would not have been so cold to Maxim.
Silent all the way until they reached the entrance of the resort, Briana only then realized that Norma
had deceived her about meeting an old friend.
