Chapter 632 Mr Beauvort Has Your Heart

After Levi had left, Katy couldn’t resistmenting, “Levi, even after all this time, his feelings for you

haven’t changed. I could sense it when we were abroad. But you just turned him down so directly. It’s

quite… You didn’t leave any room for him.”

Neera smiled and didn’t see anything wrong with her actions. “I have no interest in having an affair, and

it’s best for both me and him if I make it clear and reject someone who has feelings for me.

Furthermore, it’s also the most loyal thing I can do for the person I love.”

Katy chuckled, saying, “I never thought I’d be hearing you say that you’re doing it for the person you

love. It seems that Mr. Beauvort has your heart.”

Neera blushed slightly at the teasing but didn’t deny it, nodding openly. “I’ll treat him how he treats me.”

Jean had a special ce for Neera in his heart, and the feeling was mutual.

Katy put on a mocking frown. “Ms. Garcia, who used to have no interest in romantic love, now seems

quite smitten when ites to falling in love. You’re so protective over your lover!”

Despite her joking tone, Katy genuinely felt happy for Neera and understood the purity of her feelings.

After a few moments of light–hearted conversation, they shifted to more serious matters.

“Alfonso was released today,” Katy informed Neera.

Neera’s expression remained stoic as she nodded.

Katy continued, “The situation at Garcia Group is dire. Almost all their partners have terminated their

contracts, and ongoing projects have beenpletely halted for the past two days. Not only have they

suffered substantial losses, but many partners are also pursuing breach of contract ims. The bank is

pressuring them to repay debts. If this continues, they would go bankrupt.”

Neera smiled wryly, and her delicate eyebrows quirked with sarcasm.

“Garcia Group brought this upon themselves. Self–destruction was only a matter of time. Check to see

if there are any valuable projects left that can be taken away without mercy.”

    Katie nodded. “Alright.”

Alfonso had spent half a month in detention, and it had taken a toll on his appearance. He came out of

the police station with a disheveled, unshaven beard, gazing at the sunlight outside as if he had been

    reborn.

However, this newfound freedom was but a fleeting illusion.

Little did he know that the world of Garcia Group had undergone a seismic shift…

Susan arrived to pick him up.

As he got into the car, Alfonso couldn’t contain his curiosity and concern about the state of the

company. “How is it? Has everything been going smoothly at thepany these days? Are there any

    problems?”

Susan’s heart raced, and she avoided his gaze, responding with a hesitant “Hm.”

Alfonso nced at her, dissatisfied with her vague response. “You’re beating around the bush. Can’t

    you just

    exin it to me?”

After buckling his seatbelt, he instructed, “Never mind, I’ll see for myself. Let’s not go home first, take

    me to thepany.”

Having been in the dark about thepany for so many days, he couldn’t shake off his unease.

Susan felt a surge of guilt and pretended to persuade him. “You’ve just been released. After spending

so long in there, you should go home, take a shower, and rest properly. Don’t worry about the

    company. We can discuss itter.”

“I don’t need rest,” Alfonso retorted with a furrowed brow, sensing that something was amiss. “Why

haven’t my parents and Roxannee to pick me up?”

Susan’s palms grew sweaty and dodged the main issue. “They’re at the hospital.”

Alfonso was taken aback upon hearing this news. “What happened? Are they sick?”

“It’s not…” Susan began but faltered, her voice trembling. “It’s Roze. She suffered a heart attack a few

days ago. Mom hasn’t been feeling well because of this…”

Alfonso did not expect this and immediately grew anxious. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner? Why should

I go home and rest then? Let’s go to the hospital right away!”

Susan swiftly stepped on the elerator, increasing the car’s speed as they rushed to the hospital.

Upon arrival, the two of them hurriedly entered the hospital and made their way to the ward. Along the

way, Alfonso noticed many people staring at them, their eyes feeling like daggers on his back. Some

even pointed and whispered with disdainful expressions.

Alfonso furrowed his brow and turned to Susan. “Why are these people staring at us? Has something

happened that you haven’t told me?”

Susan, feeling increasingly guilty, responded hesitantly, “No, please don’t think about it. There’s

    something wrong with those people…”

Alfonso grew more suspicious, sensing that something was amiss.

As they walked, they finally reached the ward. Marnie and Roxanne were sharing the same room,

    separated by a curtain.

Upon entering, Alfonso first asked about Roxanne’s condition with concern. However, Roxanne

sounded distressed as she said, “Dad, you’re finally back. If you hadn’t returned, our family would have

    been ruined.”

Alfonso was puzzled. “What do you mean?”

But just as he started to feel uneasy, the curtain was pulled aside, and deon cast a nce at Susan.

Hemented, “It seems she doesn’t dare to tell you. You can find out online for yourself.”
