    Comelia spun around, ready to retort, but was met with Marcus deep, abyss–like gaze. He didn’t say

    Marcus evidently didn’t expect her to say that. He paused for a moment, then smiled, “I know”


    As Cornelia began to walk away, a loud bang echoed behind her. She whirled around to see a deep


    wound on Brennen’s forehead, blood streaming down his face, painting a horrifying and eerie picture.


    Brennen wiped the blood off his face, but he was still smiling “Never thought you, of all people, would


    care so much about this woman.”
