    President Hartley get injured too? Why didn’t I know about this?”


    Even after all these years, this was the first time Dr. Dawson mentioned this incident to someone. Each


    time she thought about the situation back then, she would still get so tense she couldn’t breathe

    I knew about his injury.”


    “Not even me?” Jayden felt a little hurt. He always thought that there was nothing about Marcus that he

    you guys didn’t tell me. What do you guys see me as? Am I not your real son and only Ayden is?”


    Dr. Dawson pped him in annoyance. “Is that what you want to say?”


    Jayden scratched his head, “Please continue!”


    Dr. Dawson went on, “Marc’s injuries were severe and he was only stabilized after a whole night of


    emergency treatment. He should have been resting in the hospital, but rumors of his arrest spread


    “Although he doesn’t necessarily have to be present for the signing, if he didn’t show up because of the


    rumors, it would have been seen as admitting to them, and the hard–won project would be lost. Upon


    learning of the situation, Marc dragged his injured body, using his strong self–control to muster up


    energy and went to the signing”


    Jayden said, “He really doesn’t care about his own life.”


    Dr. Dawson said, “Not just this time, he never cared about his own life”


    Jayden said, “What happened then?”


    Dr. Dawson continued, “At the time, Marc was just a teenager, still bearing severe injuries. Many


    children at his age might still be acting like babies in their mother’s arms
