    Because the distance between them was too close, all Sheyan could see were the Queen’s blue eyes. The first thing he noticed about them was their profundity, and then only the darkness and mystery inside, as well as a trace of confusion.


    However, the thing about her that left the biggest impression on Sheyan was the chaotic smell she emanated.


    The first smell that assaulted Sheyan’s nose was naturally the smell of blood from the heads in her hand. After that came the smell of her body.


    Of course, the smell had nothing to do with the fragrance of Chanel, Dior, Givenchy or Lanc?me perfumes. However, Sheyan’s sensitive nose immediately detected a certain smell that was hard to describe after filtering out the distinctive odour of the Zerg. The smell was quite unique. At first sniff, it smelled like the faint fragrance of jasmine, but after a while, it became a strong fragrance which arrogantly dominated his olfactory cells, reminding him of the smell of citrus flowers.


    But suddenly, Fang felt an intense pain all over his body. It turned out that the weird, horrible fluid sticking to him, provoked by the Queen’s oppressive aura, was making a desperate attempt to dig into his body. Fortunately, the ‘Stairway of the Sun’ was not that easy to defeat. It had long regarded Sheyan’s body as its territory, so it was putting up a fierce resistance, even absorbing quite an amount of the weird fluid as nutrient, so domineering was the nt.


    Therefore, although the pain was intense, only the surfaceyer of Sheyan’s skin had been infiltrated. He did not yet have to suffer the same miserable fate as Artemis, having the fluid move in and out of her until she died, then being sucked dry by it.


    The snake-like hair of the Queen rose slightly. Apparently, she had recognised Sheyan as the thief who had broken into her room before this.


    “It’s you. That trash actually did not manage to bring your spine back to me. No matter. Killing you with my own hands will better soothe my anger,” she coldly remarked.


    Listening to the Queen of des at such a close distance, her voice sounded slightly like the hissing of a snake, but it had a strange charm to it, making the listener’s emotions quaver with her voice.


    Sheyan could sense the fingers of the Queen’s hand that was wrapped around his throat bing as sharp as des. Evidently, her nails that had a sharpnessparable to the Dark Temr’s warp des had sprung out of her fingers and had stabbed deep into his flesh. Her victim’s head would fall with just a gentle flick of her wrist!


    But the moment Sheyan bled, the weird fluid also came into direct contact with the Queen’s body!


    A terrifying chemical reaction instantly urred. It was not the kind of boring chemical reaction like water dposing into hydrogen and oxygen under the flow of electric current, but the kind of chemical reaction like lightning making thend burn, or like dry twigs meeting with me!


    Previously, the weird fluid was already a great temptation to the Queen of des by virtue of its smell alone. That was the reason why the Queen so desperately made a crazy charge to get to it and ended up falling for the Protoss’ trap. By this time, the Queen of des had gradually adapted to the temptation of the smell, so she did not lose control.


    However, she had onlye into contact with the fluid’s smell before, but she was now having direct physical contact with it via her body! It was akin to two people who liked each other but had only talked on the phone before, but was now seeing each other personally for the first time! The impact was, of course, much deeper...


    This was apletely new experience for the Queen. Her eyes instantly turned fanatical. Not only was she experiencing the desire and pleasure of mating, but the gic chains of her nearly perfect body were also howling wildly, desperately searching for thest few missing pieces of the puzzle!


    The Queen of des suddenly let out a high-pitched shriek. She was nowpletely dominated by her instincts. She tore away all the clothes on Sheyan’s body, then hugged him in a naked embrace.


    At this time, Sheyan abruptly realised that most of the Queen’s skin had mutated, but it had an indescribable delicate feel. The hug, of course, made him deeply aware of the plump protrusions and amazing sticity on the Queen’s chest, and if he were to more obscenely focus on the sensation, he could even perceive two small spots on the pair of soft, firm lumps pressed to his chest that were bing as hard as stone.

The process was akin to poking a hole in a swelling blister. At first, the pain was unbearable, but after a channel was provided for the fluid to flow out of, the relief afterwards was truly pleasurable...


    After absorbing the weird fluid, the Queen of des suddenly raised her head to the sky, her snake-like hair wriggling non-stop. She seemed to have sensed something. Sheyan’s ears were abruptly filled with the loud sound of blowing wind. The wind was so strong that he could barely keep his eyes open.


    Only now did he have a clear understanding of how insane the Queen of des’ power was. She only needed mere seconds to go from aplete standstill to such terrifying speed!!


    Sheyan was in a state where he could barely see nor hear anything, but his brain was still working. He could judge through simple deduction that the only thing that could force the current Queen of des to flee in such a hurry was definitely the Protoss.


    The Queen of des came to a halt after running for less than ten minutes. She casually threw Sheyan away. Only then did Sheyan regain his vision. He found that they were inside a well-hidden cave that had Zerg Creep everywhere. The Creep would illuminate the surroundings with a faint glow, so lighting was not a problem. There were also a number of Zergling heroes and Hydralisk heroes there that were staring at Sheyan with cold eyes.


    (TL: The Creep is a purple carpet-like living Zerg superorganism upon which all Zerg structures, except for the Hatchery, Extractor, and Nydus Worm, must be built.)


    The Zerg’s Creep actually looked pretty disgusting, but Sheyan had long gotten used to it. Like jelly, it was a little stic and its surface was quite tough, so if you were to fall on it, you would not actually get the substance smeared all over your body. If you could ovee the psychological hurdle and lie down on it, it was actually quitefortable.


    Of course, Sheyan’s life was currently held in the hands of others, so he was too busy to care about whether it wasfortable. There was only one question in his mind – why was he not dead yet?


    The Queen of des had already obtained the only thing she cared about, and that was the weird fluid. Sheyan had thus already lost all value to her. More importantly, Sheyan was definitely on her hit list before, so it made no sense for her to let Sheyan live, let alone taking Sheyan with her when she ran away.


    “That means...” The inference Sheyan came up with made him shudder. “There’s no way this bitch has taken pity on me, so the reason she’s not willing to kill me so easily must be because of her vicious habit – she likes building her happiness on the pain of others! She wants to torture me slowly!! Therefore, the most rational thing to do is to...kill myself!?”


    Havinge to this conclusion, even the normally decisive Sheyan could not help but freeze. He had only survived up to this point after oveing countless hardships. How could he be willing tomit suicide just like this? There was good reason for the old saying that the hardest thing to do was to ept death!


    Of course, Sheyan was not a god, so his deduction was not always correct. The real reason why the Queen of des had shown mercy was because the ‘Stairway of the Sun’ had absorbed a portion of the weird fluid. The Queen’s desire for the fluid came from her instinct, so considering that Sheyan was hosting the ‘Stairway of the Sun’ in his body, she let Sheyan lived for now.


    Of course, there was another way – she could just kill Sheyan and eat him. Such a drastic measure was well within the scope of what the Queen found eptable, but although the Queen needed the weird fluid, it did not mean that she liked to consume it with her mouth. Did that not make sense? It was akin to a person who needed iodine and ethanol to treat his wounds after getting injured; it did not mean he would like to drink the iodine and ethanol. Or, akin to a woman who needed a certain kind of fluid to get pregnant; it did not mean she liked to consume the fluid with her mouth.


    Sheyan suddenly sensed something amiss. He turned around and saw that the Queen of des had fallen to the ground and was gasping heavily. An illusionary image of thebined Keystone shards appeared on her body. Evidently, the injury she sustained from the Protoss’ ambush earlier was ring up! Even the temperature of the surrounding space had risen by several degrees.


    The surrounding Zerg growled and were all on high alert!


    Sheyan noticed that the brownyer of mutated Zerg skin on the surface of the Queen’s body was slowly fading away, bing human skin again. Even her snake-like hair was starting to wither. At a nce, it was clear that the Queen of des’ genes were showing signs of gradually degrading. She might very well turn back into a human!


    The Protoss were truly vicious. They knew that the best way to make the Queen of des suffer was not to kill her, but to deprive her of all her powers, making her fall from heaven to hell! (Author’s note: This event was part of the lore.)


    But now that the Queen of des had been supplemented by the weird fluid left by the ancient male Zerg, her gic chains were getting more and more perfect, so in the fight against the power of the Keystone, her resistance had be more tenacious. The Queen’s subconscious mind told her that she needed more of the weird fluid, and in her confusion, she detected the smell of the fluiding from Sheyan because the ‘Stairway of the Sun’ had previously absorbed some of it. With a loud cry, she pounced on Sheyan and pushed him down onto the cold hard rock!


    “Give it to me...” said the Queen of des to Sheyan while panting heavily, obviously havingpletely lost control of herself. Her hoarse voice was strangely seductive!
