<h4>Chapter 1042: Really Whetted One’s Appetite</h4>
When Liang Mn came, she brought along many bags of stuff. She had spent the entirety ofst night doing her homework, checking out what food was good for pregnant women. If she had those items at home, she would bring them from her home. Otherwise, she would buy them from the mall.
Last night, Lin Jingquan was so excited about Lin Nuan’s pregnancy that he wasn’t able to fall asleep. He recalled a box of walnuts that someone gave to them, so he peeled a can for Lin Nuan. He said eating more walnuts was beneficial to the baby and asked Liang Mn to take them to Lin Nuan the next day.
It wasn’t easy for Lin Ran to finally have a rest day, but Liang Mn dragged her along to the mall to do some shopping. After filling up the trunks of two cars, the driver took Liang Mn, whilst Lin Ran drove her own car, both heading towards the Fu residence.
Lin Ran recalled that she had promised Lin Nuan before Ji Yun’s tombstone that she would repay Lin Nuan whatever she owed Ji Yun. Hence, even if she had to sacrifice her rest time and follow Liang Mn around, Lin Ran didn’t have anyints whatsoever.
When Liang Mn arrived, it was already after ten. Song Yao was still sleeping, and Lin Nuan and Tuan Tuan were sitting before the dining room table eating the breakfast that Cen Mo prepared.
As Lin Nuan and Song Yao proceeded in their pregnancies, their pregnancy symptoms were bing more apparent. Song Yao tended to sleep a lot now and wasn’t able to travel in a car, for the minute she did, she felt like puking.
As for Lin Nuan, she was constantly feeling nauseous, and her appetite wasn’t as good as Song Yao’s. This morning, when she was brushing her teeth, she couldn’t help but vomit. Because she hadn’t eaten anything that morning, all she vomited was bile, making her feel terrible.
Cen Mo’s heart ached upon seeing her in this state. He asked Lin Nuan what she would like to eat, and Lin Nuan said she had no appetite. Lin Nuan even said she had no appetite for the super yummy tomato egg noodles Cen Mo madest time.
Cen Mo thought about it, then made Lin Nuan some purple sweet potato porridge with fruits and mini sandwiches.
Cen Mo’s purple sweet potato porridge with fruits was unlike what others made. On the fragrant purple sweet potato porridge, white banana slices and strawberry slices were ced on top. Each slice of banana was brushed with a thinyer of honey, which made it less easily oxidized, and it looked really good with the way they glistened!
Between the banana and strawberry slices was a row of the nuts Lin Nuan usually liked to eat. On the nuts, yogurt was drizzled. Thebination of colors was particrly pretty. The aroma from the strawberries, bananas, honey, and purple sweet potato really whetted one’s appetite.
Lin Nuan lowered her head and looked at the huge bowl before her, then scooped a bit and sent it to her lips, giving Cen Mo face.
The smell was sweet yet not sickening, and her gums were filled with the aroma of the purple sweet potato and pineapples. It was delightfully tasty.
“Mm! Delicious!” Lin Nuan couldn’t help shing a thumbs up to Cen Mo. “I taste pineapples.”
Cen Mo smiled. He had used pineapple water to steam the purple sweet potatoes, so it would obviously have the fragrance of pineapples!
Cen Mo had put a great deal of effort into this meal for Lin Nuan.
The big bowl of purple sweet potato porridge was finished very quickly. Lin Nuan didn’t feel nauseous at all and had even finished all of Cen Mo’s mini sandwiches, giving Cen Mo face.
Tuan Tuan also got a bowl of purple sweet potato porridge. He paired it with his milk, and, of course, the hard-boiled egg that he ate without fail every day.
Cen Mo saw that Tuan Tuan was hugging his little bowl and licking it clean, his nose and fair face both purple, like a messy little kitten. He couldn’t resist smiling and drawing a tissue to help Tuan Tuan wipe his face.
“Delicious!” Tuan Tuan extended his thumb happily, hugging the bowl close to him. “Uncle, terrific!”
Uncle made really delicious food, more delicious than the chefs at home.
The minute Liang Mn entered, she heard Tuan Tuan shouting delicious, so she asked, “What’s delicious?”
“Mom…”
Lin Nuan wasn’t surprised to hear that Liang Mn wasing today. Cen Mo greeted Liang Mn, who smiled and nodded. Knowing Song Yao was still sleeping, Liang Mn pulled Lin Nuan to see the stuff she bought for her and Song Yao first.
In the living room, Liang Mn took out two sets of anti-radiation clothing and began introducing them to Lin Nuan. “The salesdy rmended this when I went to the shop with Xiao Ran. She said when one is early in their pregnancy, radiation is the greatest threat. Nowadays, youngsters can’t stay away from their phones. Phones have radiation, so you have to wear this!”
Lin Nuan had consulted Dr. Su Nian on this before. Dr. Su said that anti-radiation clothing basically didn’t work and was merely there to give them peace of mind. She said that back when she was pregnant, she too had worn it in order to have peace of mind.
Lin Nuan didn’t decline Liang Mn’s kind intentions. After thanking her, she put it on right before Liang Mn’s eyes.
“This one is for your sister-inw! See if it’s right…” Liang Mn then couldn’t helpining. “I was told the best anti-radiation clothing right now is made of silver fiber fabric, but there are merely these few designs that are made of silver fiber fabric, none of which really looks good…”
Hearing Liang Mn nagging Lin Nuan in the living room, Lin Ran couldn’t help smiling. She recalled that she was originally supposed to eat with Gu Shaoting that noon, so she thought of sending him a message.
She recalled that her phone was left in the car, so she went out to her car to retrieve her phone. When she came back, Cen Mo was standing under the roof… watching Tuan Tuan trying out the drone that Lin Jingquan asked Lin Nuan to bring back for Tuan Tuan yesterday.
Seeing Lin Rane back, Cen Mo smiled at her with both hands in his pockets.
Lin Ran clutched onto her car keys. She felt some fear towards this biological brother of Lin Nuan. She smiled and said, “My mom is just naggy…”
Cen Mo’s smile widened. “She’s just concerned about Nuan Nuan and Song Yao!”
Lin Ran had initially nned on sharing a word or two with Cen Mo before entering, but just as she stepped onto the stairs, she heard Cen Mo say, “You are a magnanimous and kind girl!”
Lin Ran halted in her steps, then thought about it and said, standing next to Cen Mo, “Brother Cen Mo, I’m actually not magnanimous at all. Thinking back, I was really selfish in the past. You don’t know the things I did in the past. In this switching incident, I’m the innocent one, actually, so is Lin Nuan! Before I returned to the Lin family, I really felt that Lin Nuan had stolen my life, living the life of a rich missy that ought to have been mine! She could spend money extravagantly, and whatever she wanted, she could just ask for it!”
Cen Mo nodded. He thought the same too.
“But it’s not like that. After returning to the Lin family, it’s entirely different than I had imagined. I thought that after our identities were switched back, I would be able to say, buy a sports car today, go out to sea in our family’s yacht tomorrow if in a bad mood, and the day after, go to France with my good friends for a coffee if in a good mood!”
Lin Ran didn’t feel awkward saying this at all. Because after she sorted out her thinking, she felt there wasn’t anything she needed to hide from anyone…
She said to Cen Mo, “Brother told me that the Lin family’s kids’ allowance never dropped from the sky, but rather, they needed to obtain it with theirbor. Only every year during Chinese New Year would they receive a slighterrger sum of money from their red packets. He and Lin Nuan were subject to this since young! I didn’t believe it… I even felt that the Lin family didn’t like me and was deliberately abusing me, wanting me to switch ces with Lin Nuan again!”
