    Lin Nuan’s voice was extra crisp and clear in the rain. She spoke calmly, her voice still audible even with the sttering of rain.

    Lu Jinnan tapped on his cigarette and gazed at Lin Nuan in silence.


    She tightened her arms at the side of her body as she felt her anxieties and worries slowly dissipating, and her tone became even calmer.

    Lu Jinnan, who was opening the gates of the vi, stopped in his tracks. Lin Nuan’s words were like a sharp knife stabbing into his heart.
