    When Darcy saw Rachel, a smile appeared on his deadpan expression. “Miss Grey.”

    David followed behind Rachel but was stopped by her. “Go back and rest now.”


    She blocked him from moving forward while she held the elevator door open with one hand.


    David arched his eyebrows slightly. He lowered his voice, and in a deep tone, asked, “So heartless?”


    “Pick me up after you have rested,” Rachel said. “We can have dinner together tonight.”

    David chuckled and remained in his spot. He watched as Rachel turned and head into the elevator.
