    Jenny said nothing. “Just drink less in the future.”

    The car drove on slowly. Jenny sent Alec back to the vi, and once he settled in his bed, she went


    looking for Stephanie. She hadn’t talked much with Stephaniest night, and they were to have some


    girls’ talk today.


    In the coffee shop, Stephanie waved at Jenny. “Jenny, here.”


    Jenny walked over awkwardly. “I’mte.” “It’s okay. You went to see your parents with Alec. I
