    It was Jenny’s first time on the third floor. Before, she had only gone to the study on the second floor for


    a while. She had not gone up to the third floor.


    When she got up there, she realized that there were only two rooms on the floor. Besides Alec’s, the


    rest seemed to be specially prepared for her.


    She pushed the door open and went in. Although it was said to be just one room, it was huge.

    A drawing room greeted her. Two plush pink couches sat in the room. It was an adorable sight. She


    walked further inside and found an especially big walk-in closet.

    probably converted all four rooms into one for her and kept his the same.


    When Jenny walked through the closet, her first thought was that this was definitely not done in one


    day.


    The closet was not bare. Branded clothing and essories were hung inside, and most of them were


    brands that Jenny already owned.


    The bed was in the style that Jenny liked. Even the wallpaper, bedside cab, and curtains matched


    her preferred styles.


    It was obvious that Alec had put a lot of effort into it.


    Jenny had to admit that she was touched. However, she could sense that he had been nning it for a


    long time. She didn’t really feel repulsed by it, though. She picked out an outfit and went into the


    bathroom. She had not had a change of clothes sinceing down from the airne and going to the


    hospital.


    When she got out of the bathroom, the smell of dinner had already drifted upward. She felt hungry at


    once. She went downstairs and stood at the kitchen doorway.


    “When did you prepare the things upstairs?” Jenny asked.


    “When I moved in.” Truthfully speaking, every house of Alec’s had a room prepared for Jenny. He was


    prepared for her to move in at any time.


    Jenny was dubious when she heard that. It all felt rather weird. “Weren’t you angry when I moved into


    Evan’s vi? I thought you would be mad.”


    She even thought that Alec would give up on her.


    “I was.” Alec didn’t deny it. “But I ached for you more. You had no choice but to take care of Evan. The


    only thing I could do then was to try and let you leave him as soon as possible. At first, I wanted to get


    a doctor to treat him so you wouldn’t have to keep taking care of him. I didn’t expect it was all part of


    his borate schemes. It’s all very scary to think of now.”


    Thank God he had discovered it in time. If he hadn’t, Jenny would have been fooled by Evan and


    brought out of the country against her will.

    Alec stopped and looked at her. “You don’t ever have to apologize to me, Jenny. I’d rather hear you tell


    me that you love me.”


    Jenny was moved at first, but then when he said those words, the feeling vanished. “Hurry up with the


    cooking. I’m hungry.”


    “Alright.” Alec smiled. He wasn’t mad at all.


    Jenny didn’t leave. She stood in the kitchen doorway, watching him cook with fluid movements. Anyone


    might think he was a seasoned chef at a restaurant.


    She suddenly thought that having someone like him around would be nice. It was better than eating at


    the hospital every day. That was the only advantage she could think of from having Alec as her


    boyfriend.
