standing at the door.
“Why did you bring me here? We should hurry back to Clusia. Gilbert and Zack must be worried sick,”
Jenny stated as she walked back to her room.
Alec smiled and said, “Don’t worry, I’ve already informed them.”
Jenny rolled her eyes but didn’t say anything more. “So, why did you bring me here?”
“You studied here before, right?” Alec asked.
Jenny nodded. She had gotten her Ph.D. in this city, so she was quite familiar with it.
“Well, why don’t you show me around? Since we’re already abroad, there’s no rush to go back,” Alec
said with a smile. He wanted to spend more time alone with Jenny. However, he and Evan were
fundamentally different. If Jenny didn’t want to stay, he wouldn’t force her. He would book a flight back
home with her right away.
Jenny looked out the window and could see the Faire Tower clearly.
“Okay, I can be your tour guide for two days since you saved my life,” she said. She was wondering
how she could repay Alec for saving her; this was a good opportunity to show her gratitude.
After changing their clothes and having breakfast at the hotel, they headed toward the famous Faire
Tower. Jenny was surprised that Alec was interested in it.
“You’re interested in this thing? There’s nothing much to see here,” she said.
“Traveling is about going from ces that we’re tired of to ces that other people are tired of,” Alec
replied.
Jenny didn’t refuse and went along with Alec’s n. After all, she was only a tour guide for the next two
days, so she would do whatever he wanted.
