Chapter 974 Listen to Me This Once
Early in the morning, Jenny was awakened by theughter of children in the
neighborhood. She opened her eyes groggily, picked up her phone from the bedside,
and saw that it was not yet 7 am. The children should be asleep now, so why were
they making noise downstairs?
Before she could fully wake up, the doorbell rang. Jenny struggled to get out of bed.
The moment she opened the door, she saw Alec standing outside. She felt a little
irritated at being awakened from her sleep prematurely. “Mr. Faust, why are you at my
door so early?”
She was puzzled. Alec never came to look for her so early in the morning. “Did
something bad happen?” Jenny started making guesses blindly.
“Get dressed ande downstairs.” Observing Jenny’s expression, Alec guessed
that she’d just woken up and probably didn’t know what was happening outside.
“I don’t want to go. I want to sleep a little longer.” Jenny turned to go back to her room,
but Alec grabbed her wrist.
“Listen to me this once, Jenny.” Alec’s expression was serious, and he wasn’t joking.
This made Jenny feel perturbed and worried. Had something really gone wrong?
Thinking of this, she grabbed her coat from the door and put it on, ready to go
downstairs with him.
“This is too thin. Wear something thicker,” Alec reminded her.
“Is it?” Jenny wondered. She wore the same coat yesterday and didn’t feel cold at all.

her go downstairs with him?
“Alec, what’s going on?” She couldn’t help but ask.
Alec smiled and didn’t answer. “Don’t worry. You’ll know soon enough.”
Jenny looked at him helplessly. Was it really necessary for him to be so secretive?
As the elevator dinged, they arrived on the first floor. Alec grabbed Jenny’s hand and
led her out of the elevator. As soon as they stepped out, a cold wind blew, lifting
Jenny’s hair.
The next second, thepletely white sight astounded her, making her freeze in
ce—it was snowing.
The neighborhood was covered in white snow, and not far away, children were
excitedly ying in the snow.
Snowkes were still falling from the sky, leaving her in awe.
Jenny grew up in Parrington, located in the south, and rarely had snow throughout the
year. Although she’d seen snow in other cities, this experience was different.
“Isn’t it beautiful?” Alec smiled as he asked. He was also from Parrington and rarely
saw snow, so he was quite happy, especially because he could watch his first snowfall
with Jenny.
