    The more Jenny thought about it, the more creeped out she felt. If Alfred was Mortimer’s illegitimate

    Alfred was on the phone in his car. “Don’t worry. Since when have I failed at anything?” he said to the


    person on the other end. “My identity? So what if they find out? I’m not some criminal. They can’t fire


    me just because I am your son.” He didn’t think that Jenny was someone like that.

    to do this. You can focus on your own things. You don’t have to spend all your energy on me.”

    “Do you think I’m annoying?” Alec looked at her, his eyes full of disappointment.


    It made Jenny a little flustered. She exined hurriedly, “No, not at all. I just don’t want you to waste


    your time. Aren’t you busy?”


    “I’m not wasting my time. I’m using it willingly.” Alec smiled, looking at Jenny with passion in his


    eyes.
