    “Noah…” Vicky muttered with resignation.


    Though Tyler was hardly a great man, she could not help but marvel at how paranoid Noah was.


    Noah studied the disbelief on her face and shook his head. “Ever since you broke up with him, I got a


    feeling that he was slowly going insane. I went and looked into his family background afterward, and I


    think…” He paused and nced at Cece and Ava.


    Cece took the hint and immediately pulled Ava to the side. “Miss Canyer, you can brief me through your


    requirements first.”


    Ava nced at Vicky curiously. “Does Noah know Miss Shaw?”


    “Mister Canyer was Vicky’s senior back in school.”


    Realization dawned on Ava. “I see.”


    Noah dragged Vicky to the door and lowered his voice. “Vicky, listen to me. Leave now, or that lunatic…


    might just do something crazy again. You said that you lost your bag on the day when you were


    supposed to file for divorce. If you ask me, Tyler definitely has a hand in that. That so-called thief he


    captured is odd as well…”


    Vicky wanted to argue but was instantly rendered speechless when she recalled what Tyler had done

    Vicky remained calm. “Don’t worry, Noah. Gloria has juste out of surgery, so all his attention is on


    her. He doesn’t have the time to care about who I’m meeting with. So long as I don’t show up in front of


    Gloria or bother them, I’ll be fine.”


    “Gloria?” Noah scowled. “What’s with her?”


    Vicky hesitated for a moment, before exining everything.


    “… That’s pretty much what’s been happening.” She sighed. “I guess I am to me for what happened.


    My phone ran out of battery when I was on the phone with Cece.”


    “Vicky, Gloria means nothing to anyone. Why does she bother you so much?”


    “I’m not bothered by her, but ever since she came back, Tyler has been taking extremely good care of


    her. He would go to every one of her concerts and has been seen going pretty much everywhere with


    Gloria. Besides…” She paused. “He has said yes to pretty much every request she made, and


    whenever something bad happens to her, he’d rush to her rescue immediately…”

    Vicky scowled. “But what’s so important for him to cause misunderstanding that he’s in love with


    another woman?”


    “It’s just one lie, but he ends up covering it with more lies. You are right that it seems like it’s not worth


    all the trouble, but how would you know if he is hiding something else as well? How would you know if


    he is doing this on purpose to upset you or make you jealous? We don’t know anything, so anything is

    “But Gloria…”
