Chapter 741
Vicky knew that Harvey needed to speak with Gloria, so she left the hospital instead of bothering them.
It was not until she stepped out of the hospital that she recalled she had forgotten to call Cece.
Just as she contemted if she should borrow a phone from a passerby, a car raced by, scaring
everyone along the way.
Just as Vicky was about to move out of the way, the car stopped right in front of her.
Before she could register what happened, the car door flew open and Tyler strode toward her.
“Tyler?” Surprised, she gaped at him. “Where are you g—”
She paused before she could finish, as she realized why he was here. “Are you here to see Gloria? Her
surgery is over, and she seems energetic—”
He interrupted her. “Why are you here?”
His frosty tone caused Vicky’s heart to sink and she thought to herself, ‘Is he that worried that I’m going
to harm Gloria?’
Vicky’s expression hardened. “I’m here for a follow-up.”
He scanned her up and down and came to a realization when he spotted no injuries on her. “You were
working with that assistant of yours to put up an act, weren’t you?”
“Put up an act?” Vicky repeated in confusion.
He stared at the confused look on her face in contempt. “Vicky, you’re getting better at acting.”
Vicky was clueless as to what happened. “What are you talking about, Tyler?”
“Satisfied now?”
“…” Vicky was rendered speechless as she did not even understand what he was using her of.
Not expecting to get any answers from him, she walked around him to leave.
Suddenly, he reached out to grab her by the wrist and said, “Come have lunch with me.”

His tone was casual but authoritative.
She turned to look at his face. “Aren’t you going to see Gloria?”
The way Gloria red at Vicky earlier was as though Vicky had stolen her most prized belonging, and
Vicky knew that the man before her was Gloria’s most precious.
“This is what you are after, right?” he asked coldly.
Vicky hated people who spoke in riddles, so she shook his hand off expressionlessly, yet he refused to
let go.
