    Kisa shook her head bemusedly. ‘What’s wrong with him today? He’s so mncholy, it’s not like him at


    all.’


    “Well, well, well, look how lovey-dovey this couple is.”


    Gilbert hugged Kisa in silence for a long moment until Felicity’s teasing giggle came. He immediately


    let go of Kisa, his face changing with such speed that his mncholy look switched to sullenness in an


    instant once Felicity and Davian walked in.


    He looked at the two of them and asked expressionlessly, “What the hell are you two doing here?”


    “Tsk, tsk, tsk…” Felicity shook her head and snickered at the gloomy-faced man. “You are about to be


    the father of three children, yet still so bad-tempered.”


    Gilbert shot her a look and brought Kisa inside. Felicity and Davian had not eaten until now, and neither


    had Gilbert. Kisa had a small snack for lunch along with therge te of spaghetti she had made for


    breakfast.


    Felicity asked the maid to cook, when Gilbert slowly rolled up his sleeves and said, “I’ll do the cooking


    for the next few days.”

    He got up to go to the kitchen.


    Felicity was wide-eyed. She looked at Kisa. “Is he in his right mind? He’s going to cook for us?”


    Kisa pursed her lips and smiled, not saying anything. She knew that the reason Gilbert cooked was


    because of her. He would only bepletely at ease after knowing that she was eating food that he


    had prepared himself.


    At night, Kisa stayed up untilte at night since she was afraid that she would fall asleep too quickly


    and have that nightmare again. But pregnant women get sleepy easily. She wanted to look at her


    phone but fell asleep in only 10 minutes, with her phone left running.


    Gilbert nced at her, shaking his head helplessly and took her phone out of her hand. He had slept


    for a good part of the day, so he did not feel sleepy at night and could keep watch over her.


    Surprisingly, Kisa slept soundly tonight and did not dream at all.


    Another few days passed. Kisa went nowhere, only staying at Felicity’s ce. She did not even leave


    thepound. All the food she ate during the days was made for her by Gilbert, and she never had


    those nightmares again. After days of observation, she became increasingly sure that the nightmares


    had been drug-induced hallucinations and that someone from the Mullen family was trying to harm her.


    Back at the Mullen residence. Kelvin also never had those nightmares again. His situation just seemed


    like a normal coincidence. While Kisa’s situation seemed suspicious, there really seemed to be no


    logical exnation for Kelvin’s situation.


    Kelvin told her that Karen had regained some sensation in her leg, which was much better than he had


    expected. On the eighth day of her stay at Felicity’s ce, Kisa wanted to move to the Mullen


    residence. She still had a lot of things to figure out at the Mullen residence. The sooner she got it
