Amelia’s hand holding the pen paused. A little puzzledly, she eyed James.
“Skender is a world-renowned architect, and I’m just a
neer.”
“It’s impossible that you’ll ever win an award with a work that has my name attached to it.”

The man on the sofa gave the moving left hand a cold gaze through the lens.
With just one look, Neil shuddered, well aware that if he didn’t withdraw his hand anytime then, his left
hand would end up in the same state as his right hand.

After the contract was signed, James had no reason to stay any longer. His silent gaze remained on
Amelia for some time before he got up and walked out the door.
Amelia, as the “boss”, naturally had to see the “client” off, so she followed James, intending to send
him downstairs.
After Andrew and Neil stepped out of the office, James’ tracks came to a sudden halt.
Amelia, who trailed from behind with her head lowered, ended up bumping into his toned figure.
Just as she was about to rub her sore nose, James turned around to hug her.
His head lowered to whisper in her ear, “Amelia, I’ll wait for you downstairs…”
Amelia craned her neck back and asked, visibly ufortable, “Why would you be waiting for me?”
James leaned closer. “To send you home.”
Amelia had wanted to reject his offer with the excuse that she would take a taxi back, but James
continued in his steps after releasing her.
Staring at the haughty and elegant back, Amelia’s fist clenched in nervousness.
