James’ eyes were red-rimmed once more when he saw the pale woman lying on the hospital bed
through the ss.
After staring at her for a while, he slowly shifted his gaze to Ste. “She’s in the intensive care unit,
which means she’s still in life-threatening danger. How long will it take?”
Ste replied to James’ question while wiping the sweat from her forehead. “Mr. Evans, it’ll take about
one to two weeks, depending on the situation, to see if she’ll be able to escape life-threatening danger
during this period.”
James’ tense body froze again.

some rest. There are doctors and nurses keeping watch, don’t worry.”
Eva cried and shook her head. “No, I want to stay here until Amelia wakes up…”
Ste appeared to be somewhat helpless. “You can’t just stand here on guard all the time, can you?”
With that, she returned her gaze to James. “Mr. Evans, it’ll take more than two weeks. Your bodies
