    Chapter 34 Take It


    “Ms. Garcia, we’ve arrived at your home.”


    Amelia was pushed awake and struggled to open her eyelids. All she could see were dark shadows,


    making it difficult to see anything.


    She knew that her illness had worsened due to being drenched in the rain, but thankfully her thoughts


    were still clear, and she remembered that she was in Paul’s car.


    She quickly sat up straight, thanked Paul again, then pushed open the door and exited the car.


    “Ms. Garcia…”


    Paul stopped her, took an umbre from the back seat, and handed it to her. “It’s still raining heavily.


    Take it.”


    Amelia saw the logo on the umbre and knew it was worth tens of thousands of dors. She was


    afraid she wouldn’t have the chance to return it to him, so she softly declined, “Thank you, but it’s only


    a few steps away. I’ll run over there.”


    Paul was stunned for a moment. He seemed to have read her mind and thrown the umbre at her.

    After saying that, Amelia turned around and ran into the neighborhood without caring about his
