    The secretary hurried back to the meeting room, and the hallway fell silent again.

    After exchanging goodbyes, Wang Ning turned and left. Lin Yi nced at the meeting room before heading to Shen Shuyi’s office.


    About ten minutester, the office door opened, and Shen Shuyi walked in.

    “Aunt Shen, you’re always ahead of the curve!” Lin Yi chuckled. “I had some free time, so I picked up a perfume for you. I thought it would suit your style.”


    “Save your sweet talk for my daughter, don’t try to charm me.”


    Shen Shuyi didn’t look at him and instead busied herself with theputer, seemingly reviewing some documents.


    “I’ll ept the perfume, but you came at a bad time. I have another meeting soon, and I’m not sure how long it will take. If you’re staying the night,e by tomorrow.”


    “I have other things to do tomorrow. I’ll be leaving by noon, so I probably won’t be able toe back.”


    Lin Yi nced at the time. “It’s already past four. No matter howte it goes, it’ll eventually end, right? I’ve got nothing to do, so I’ll just wait here.”


    “Alright,” Shen Shuyi checked her watch and said,

    “Well, I’m just sitting around anyway. Tell me what’s going on. Maybe I can offer some advice.”


    “It’s not about decision-making,” Shen Shuyi exined.


    “They’re trying to seize power, to push me out of my position. These meetings have be impossible to hold. This happens four times a year, so I’m used to it.”<div>


    “But with your abilities, Aunt Shen, if they don’t have something against you, they wouldn’t dare oppose you in these meetings, right?”


    Lin Yi knew Shen Shuyi’s personality. She was tough and didn’t back down when she was in the right.


    If she had the upper hand, she wouldn’t give her opponents any opportunity.


    “That’s why something like this is happening. Looks like they’ve caught her in a vulnerable spot.”


    “A bunch of short-sighted fools. How could I let them catch me?” Shen Shuyi said.


    “The disagreement mainly revolves around three of thepany’s long-term investments, with a total scale exceeding one trillion yuan. But because they’ll incur losses in the early stages, they’ve all jumped in to oppose me.”


    “What’s the timeline?”


    “Ten years. The return starts in eight years, and the gross profit will be around 50 to 60 billion.”


    “Uh…”


    Lin Yi scratched his head. “Based on that alone, these projects don’t seem that great.”


    “What if I told you one of the projects discovered a gold mine, another found a uranium mine, and thest one allows us to upy a deep-water port for ten years under the guise of development? Still think these projects aren’t worth it?”

    Hearing this, Lin Yi gasped.<div>


    “Is that for real? If these projects seed, the profits will be astronomical.”


    Lin Yi couldn’t help but admire Shen Shuyi.


    “But they can’t see that, and they even im my research is wed. I never realized they could be this stupid.”

    “What are you worried about? She’s my future mother-inw. I’ll back you up.” Lin Yi said.

    “Are you sure it’ll be fine?” Wang Ning asked hesitantly.


    “Of course. Come on in.”

    “Can you put together a list for me?”
