    “But the problem is, there are lots of cameras inside, and no one is allowed in without permission. Even as the Team 3 leader, you can’t enter.”


    “Don’t make things difficult for Team Leader Li. I’ll call Elder Liang and see if I can get permission.”


    Lin Yi replied as he pulled out his phone and dialed Liang Xianghe.


    “Elder Liang, I’m at the research facility. Ning Che wants toe in with me. Is that okay?”


    “Ning Che?” Liang Xianghe mumbled, “Is she Ning Rongbei’s granddaughter?”


    “Yes, that’s her.”


    Although Lin Yi didn’t pry much into Ning Che’s family matters, given their close interactions, he knew a bit about her background.


    “This experiment is highly ssified. But if you can guarantee she’s trustworthy, then she cane in.”

    Li Hang led the two out of the office and towards the staircase leading to the basement.


    Soon, they came upon a heavy silver alloy door that resembled a bank vault.


    Li Hang used a maic card to unlock the door, which opened automatically.


    Beyond it were concrete steps which looked in and unremarkable.


    However, the numerous security cameras along the walls added a sense of formality and secrecy.


    Descending to the second underground level, they encountered another alloy door.


    Li Hang used the same method to open it.


    Again, it revealed more stairs and cameras, but nothing else, giving the ce an increasingly eerie feeling.


    Lin Yi raised an eyebrow and thought to himself, ‘What on earth are they hiding to make this ce so secretive?/


    At the third underground level, there was yet another alloy door.


    This time, beyond it was a wide-open space with multiple rooms.


    Li Hang walked in front and took the two to the room at the end.


    This was like a scene in a movie. Neither Lin Yi nor Ning Che had ever seen anything like it before.


    It was hard to imagine that the Central Guards Brigade’s research facility was this well-guarded.


    “Is this experiment really that ssified?” Ning Che asked curiously.<div>

    The most striking feature was arge metal container in the center, about two meters in diameter but only chest-high.


    It had a dizzying array of buttons and indicators that made Ning Che’s head spin.


    They also saw Xu Lan there, adjusting equipment.


    It was precisely this configuration that made Lin Yi and Ning Che feel a little strange.


    “Team Leader Li, Team Leader Lin, Team Leader Ning, you’re here.”<div>


    Xu Lan greeted the trio as they entered.

    “Team Leader Li, is the experiment being conducted in there?” Ning Che pointed at the metal container nearby and asked.<div>

    “Why does it look like the robe for a bathhouse?”

    By around 3 PM, everything was ready.

    “Is the experiment this easy? I can even sleep?”


    Xu Lan nodded, “Since itsts 12 hours, we took these considerations into ount during the design phase and made the necessary adjustments.”


    “That sounds good. Let’s start now.”
