Chapter 1013: Entering the Land of Opportunities
Editor: Henyee Trantions
Shen Ruyan’s breakthrough undoubtedly elevated their capabilities to a new level. The transition from the Dao Fusion Realm to the Dao Mastery Realm was not as simple as an arithmetic addition of one plus one. It represented a qualitative transarray in terms of both Dharmic power and understanding of Dao rules.
Shen Ruyan’s sessful breakthrough was the final piece in their quest for a great opportunity. Now, all that remained was for her realm to stabilize, and then they could depart immediately.
In the following days, Shen Ruyan and Jiang Chengxuan spent time in the cave, familiarizing themselves with the power of the Dao Mastery and solidifying her new realm, particrly the newlyprehended power of the Primeval Divine Thunder, which required gradual limation.
As her realm gradually stabilized, even Jiang Chengxuan found the power of the Primeval Divine Thunder formidable, which added to their confidence about their uing expedition.
…
Several dayster, with Jiang Chengxuan by her side, Shen Ruyan’s Dao Mastery power finally stabilizedpletely. The couple, like celestialpanions, left the valley hand in hand. After exchanging a look, they transformed into two powerful streaks of light and flew towards their destination.
Guided by Shen Ruyan’s memory, they quickly passed through several regions. Along the way, the spiritual energy grew increasingly scarce, and fewer spiritual creatures were to be found. This scenery confirmed the correctness of their direction, and Jiang Chengxuan’s intuition grew stronger.
Eventually, they stopped in an area that was utterly barren—more deste than the bordends of the Floodgate Realm.
“This is the ce of the ancient rune,” said Shen Ruyan as she waved her hand, sweeping aside arge patch of sand with her Dharmic power.
A huge, ancient rune was revealed on the exposed ground, radiating a profoundly mysterious aura.<div>
After a moment of contemtion, Jiang Chengxuan recognized that this rune was of the same origin as those they had encountered before. This confirmed that the area was specifically arranged and not naturally barren.
“I’ll try to deduce where its power leads,” Jiang Chengxuan told Shen Ruyan, who nodded in agreement to protect him while he sat down to meditate.
He began to use his Heavenly Calction Technique, connecting his power to the ancient rune. A gray world appeared in his consciousness, illuminated by a point of light representing the rune.
However, there was something on the rune capable of confusing heavenly secrets, blocking the entry of his deducing power.
Jiang Chengxuan furrowed his brows and took out the Profound Dao Disc to enhance the power of his deductions. This time, with thebined power of the sixth-level Heavenly Calction Technique and the Profound Dao Disc, the obscuring force was directly broken through.
Golden light emerged, starting from the luminescence and slowly pointing towards a specific ce.
Suddenly, Jiang Chengxuan’s vision changed as a cloud of ck and white mist rushed towards him, obscuring his sight.
Even with the Profound Dao Disc, he could not clear the fog.
He had to withdraw from his Heavenly Calction Technique, but he wasn’t displeased.
The mysterious ck and white mist undoubtedly originated from the great opportunity’s power, blocking his deduction. The stronger this force, the greater the opportunity it indicated.
He shared this with Shen Ruyan, and without any hesitation, they immediately chose the direction indicated by his deduction and sped off again.
Crossing thousands of miles, they arrived at a vast barren mountain. There was nothing particrly unusual about this mountain, but upon arrival, Jiang Chengxuan’s instincts screamed a warning, confirming this was indeed the ce of opportunity marked by the ancient rune.
Descending from the sky, Jiang Chengxuan and Shen Ruyan began a detailed search of the mountain. Sure enough, in a shadowy area, they found an extremely hidden cave entrance.
Around the rim of the entrance were ancient runes, which Jiang Chengxuan immediately recognized as containing power very simr to that of the ancient gates of the Immortal cave abode.
“It seems this is the ce, my husband.”
“Yes, the aura of these runes is very simr to that of the Immortal cave abode’s gate,” Jiang Chengxuan replied with a solemn yet excited expression.
Both nodded, and the next moment, they stepped into the cave entrance together.
Instantly, a tremendous wave of energy surged, ripples danced across the void, and a mysterious spiritual light flickered; the runes lit up.
Jiang Chengxuan and Shen Ruyan felt a sh before their eyes, and when they opened them, they had entered a new world.<div>
Although the inside of the mountain cave was as barren as the outside, it was vast, and the surrounding rocks, though not special, carried an ancient aura, clearly not naturally formed.
“Let’s go,” Jiang Chengxuan said as he expanded his spiritual sense, leading Shen Ruyan deeper into the cave. They hadn’t gone far when fluctuations in the air began to emerge around them, followed by a series of disturbances.
As an eighth-level array master, Jiang Chengxuan immediately recognized that they had triggered a defensive array. True to form, in the next moment, multiple spellsunched from hidden locations, silent and deadly.
These spells, shadowy and perfectly integrated into the environment, were extremely lethal. However, under Jiang Chengxuan’s Intuition of the Heavens, these dark spells could not escape detection.<div>
With a sweep of his hand, he unleashed the Five Elements Annihtion Light, manifesting the power of the Five Elements throughout the cave. In an instant, all the dark spells were neutralized.
Then, employing his Heavenly Calction Technique, Jiang Chengxuan quickly located the core of the array. He ryed the position to Shen Ruyan, and in the next instant, a thunderous divine strike precisely hit the core of the array.
What might have seemed slow was, in fact, executed in just a few breaths—from triggering the array to neutralizing the danger, their coordination was seamless.
Jiang Chengxuan and Shen Ruyan, both at the realm of Dao Mastery, with Jiang’sbat powerparable to that of a Daolord, were formidable. Within this Immortal cave abode, there were few threats that could pose any real danger to them.
“It was just a minor array, sufficient to deal with someone at the Dao Fusion Realm,” Jiang Chengxuan assessed after a quick scan of the surroundings.
It seemed that the dangers set within this cave were not as severe as those guarding other opportunities they had encountered.
However, recalling the ck and white mist that had obscured even the power of his sixth-level Heavenly Calction Technique, Jiang Chengxuan felt reassured about the magnitude of the opportunity before them.
