Gu Pei felt a chill and red fiercely at Feng Jue. “I don’t agree to this rtionship!”

Upon hearing Gu Pei’s objection, Gu Yang stifled a smallugh and stepped in front of Feng Jue, speaking gently. “Little brother, we haven’t discussed marriage yet. Right now, we’re just announcing our rtionship.”
Gu Pei snorted dismissively and kept his gaze fixed firmly on Feng Jue.
If it weren’t for Gu Yang blocking his path, he might have confronted Feng Jue directly.
Ruan Xueling’s emotions were a mix ofplexity and confusion.

Worriedly, Ruan Xueling asked, “Yangyang, Xiao Jue, is this serious? I know you two are close, but are you absolutely certain it’s love and not just familial affection?”
Gu Zhaoming, too, regarded them silently, his expression inscrutable and imposing in its silence.

His world was simple and pure, centered entirely around his sister. She meant everything to him, and he was prepared to dedicate himself fully to safeguarding her happiness.
Ruan Xueling was moved by his sincerity and regarded Feng Jue more fondly. Seeing Gu Yang’s protective stance towards him, she felt both resigned and indulgent. “It’s reassuring to know that your feelings are genuine. If Yangyang and you are in love, we won’t stand in your way.”
Turning her attention directly to Feng Jue, Ruan Xueling’s demeanor shifted, imbued with the sharpness of a sessful career woman.
“Feng Jue, if you ever hurt Yangyang and mistreat her, don’t expect any sympathy from me.”
Feng Jue promised earnestly, “Mom, you have my word. I will never let my sister suffer.”
Even though they had been together for so long, Ruan Xueling still wanted to remind Feng Jue about the unpredictability of human emotions. She believed in his love for Yangyang but understood theplexities of rtionships.
The human heart was unpredictable. The higher the stakes, the lower the tolerance for betrayal. All she wanted was her daughter’s eternal happiness.
Gu Yang appreciated her mother’s concern and smiled warmly at her. “Thank you, Mom.”
Seeing Gu Yang’s understanding, Ruan Xueling felt reassured.
With his mother’s eptance secured, Feng Jue breathed a sigh of relief. However, when Gu Yang nced at Gu Zhaoming, she couldn’t help feeling concerned for her boyfriend.
