“Is there anything needing my intervention today?” her voice echoed through the gigantic, empty room, which housed her throne.
“No, Lady Sindyca, nothing out of the ordinary.” The man responding stood next to the throne. No tone could be identified in his monotonous voice.
“Who are we watching?” Sindyca asked with a clear interest.
“Ugh. These humans. How much I despise them and their interesting lives. Why do I need to bore myself every day when they get to live interesting and diverse lives? I am a demon queen. So why do they get to have a better existence?”
“Lady Sindyca, as the future ruler of hell, you need to follow the rules. You know that.”
“I dooo. But it’s so boooring. Why can’t I live in the human realm like one of them?”
The man covered his mouth in shock. “Miss Sindyca, that is absolutely frivolous. You know that leaving our realm is strictly forbidden.”
“Of course it is,” Sindyca sighed out. “I will retreat back to my room now, and I wish to not be disturbed. The man slightly nods but does not leave his spot.
“ So. I just need to cast this one spell and get transported to the human realm? That’s easy. She read out loud the words on the page. A bright light floats out of the book. Brightening up even more, it filled the room with blinding light.

“Are you just a spoiled rich kid or really in character?” he asked half-jokingly.
“What do you mean, in character? Be quiet, subject, and properly greet me, Sindyca, the future heiress of hell.”
“Oh. So you are just insane? Well, I don’t have time to stay and talk. I’m already late to school.”
“Hey, listen, I don’t want anything to do with your weird cosplay stuff. So please just leave me in peace.”
“Cosplay? Are you saying that you don’t believe my rank? I will curse you to hell if you don’t comply.”
“Okay, little Miss Insane, but I really need to go now. And you should probably go to school now as well.”
“I think I’ve shaken her off. That girl was crazy.”
“Who are you calling crazy?” an angry voice right next to him asked loudly.
“Ahhh!” he screamed and jumped back a step. “What are you doing here? Don’t you need to go to school?”
“Of course I do, my loyal retainer, and so I’m going to school. Your school”
“What? You aren’t a student there. Also, why are you wearing that ridiculous cosplay if you''re going to school?”
“You’re starting to get on my nerves, retainer, but I will not punish you because I am so nice. I will not repeat this again. This is how I look. Not some kind of weird cosplay.”
“Okay. And what institution did you break out of? Now get lost and let me go to school in peace.”
“Are you calling me insane? But you may be correct. I did notice some people looking at me weirdly. Fine retainer. Tell me. What should I look like instead?”
“I can’t believe I’m talking to a crazy person,” he sighed out. “Why does something like this only happen to me?” he said quietly before loudly answering, “Well, of course you need to get rid of these laughable fake horns and that weird tail. You might want to wear normal clothing too.”
“Are you calling my horns and tail weird and fake? This is the last time I will excuse your stupidity. If what you are saying doesn’t help, I will personally make you suffer for eternity.”
A black fire appears between her horns, which quickly enshrouds her. As the fire appears, the horns, tail, and dress vanish, being replaced by normal pants and a shirt. “Is this more human-like?”
Michael’s eyes are wide open. “I have to admit, that was a good trick. So, now that I helped you, you can get lost and go to your school.”
Sindyca responded angrily, “I told you that I would go to school with you. And you, as my retainer, will accept it and thank me for the opportunity.”
“Retainer, how do you dare to just leave me behind like that?” Michael’s classmates started looking at the discussion between the two. Most of them seemed to focus specifically on Sindyca.
“What are you doing here? I thought I told you to let me live in peace. Also, please be a bit quieter. Everyone is looking at us.”
“And? Let them gaze upon my immeasurable beauty.”
“Hey, if you dislike her, do you mind if I make a move on her?” Everett whispered to Michael.
“Do what you want. I don’t care,” Michael responded just as quietly.
"Hey, what are you two conspiring about?”
Everett leaned on the wall and said in a badly attempted, romantic voice, “Hey, you can sit next to me if you want.”
“No, you are a useless subject. I will sit next to my retainer.” She grabbed a random chair and sat down next to Michael, completely ignoring the hurt expression on Everett’s face.
“I understand. Guess you want to sit next to your boyfriend,” he said in a defeated way, only amplifying the whispering happening all around them.
