    Jackson frowned when he saw the light in Taya’s eyes turn dark.


    “What are you thinking about?” he asked.


    “Just something I saw online.”


    Jackson raised an eyebrow and waited for her to share.


    Taya said in a low voice, “The Man Who Dumped His Girlfriend When He Found Sess.”


    “Ms. Palmer, you’re not talking about me, are you?”


    Taya didn’t reply, just picked up her ss and took a sip of


    water.

    I shrugged and met Jackson’s gaze again.

    He would probably kick me again if I answered or exined as truthfully as before.


    When we’d seen Griffon, I’d panicked, not wanting Jackson to know how I really knew Griffon.


    I figured my answer earlier would suffice for both Alphas and their needs regarding my past with them.
