A Pebble of Perspective

Ripples in the pond, just a stone’s throw away,
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
And as the pebble sinks, returns tranquillity.
Time passes slowly, such a peaceful world beneath.
We see not the blood, the anguish, the grief.
As things strive, ‘neath the pool. Too small to matter but to themselves.
To them our power is beyond comprehension, belief
Would they call us God if us they could perceive?
