Chapter 475 Engagement Annulled

recalled Gwendolyn making use of his sister and taking Jennifer away.
Treyton stayed awake the whole night, sitting by Jennifer’s bed all the way until the next morning.
After examining Jennifer, the doctor concluded that her body was still very weak and gave her two

you till noon to break off the engagement with the Newton family. If you fail to do so, I will ask Kiddo to

If Harris Group decided to ostracize Abbot Group, the other major corporations would surely follow suit

in his study, the butler led Remus to the reception room to wait.

“Karl, could you please tell Mr. Craig to hurry? I have something very urgent to discuss with him!”

military uniform, Craig was dressed casually in a tailored shirt and trousers, looking much more
approachable than before.
“Mr. Abbot, what brings you here? Are you here to see Jennifer?”
Remus nced at his watch again.
As it was already nearing noon, he had no time to make small talk with Craig. Going straight to the
point, he said, “Mr. Craig, I’m here to break off the engagement with Jennifer.”
Craig’s expression darkened immediately as a dangerous glint shed past his eyes. “Break off the
engagement?”
“That’s right.” Remus nodded cautiously as he wiped off the sweat from his forehead. “The problem
lies. with me. I will make a public announcement to let everyone know that it’s my fault. You can keep
the engagement gifts. Treat it aspensation for the potential losses Newton Group might suffer due
to the annulment of the engagement,”
Checking his watch every few seconds, Remus stood up right after he finished speaking and added,
“Mr. Craig, my decision has been made. I came here to inform you about it. I have some matters to
attend to, so I shall take my leave now.”
With an apologetic look in his eyes, the man bowed to Craig before striding out of the reception room.
A loud crash rang out the moment Remus stepped out of the room. It was the sound of something
shattering on the ground.
A shiver ran down Remus spine, themotion causing him to sweat profusely.
Nevertheless, he had no time waste, having no choice but to do whatever he could to appease the
Harris family.
At that thought, he hastened his steps. As it was almost noon, on his way back to the office, Remus
called the PR department and instructed them to issue a public release to inform everyone that the
CEO of Abbot Group had broken off his engagement with the daughter of Newton Group.
Meanwhile, Craig threw a fit in the reception room after Remus left, smashing an expensive tea set in
the process.
“Gwendolyn! Treyton! Cedrick!” They are always ruining things for me!
Craig gritted his teeth and looked like he wanted to kill someone right then.
The butler did not dare to go near him and said softly at a distance, “Mr. Craig, the engagement gifts
