Chapter 526 Strange People, Strange Things
"Great!" Amy nodded happily. "I can guarantee that no employee apartment in Dusktown is more
luxurious than ourw firm. Everyone''s room is as fine as a five-star presidential suite!"
Madeline smiled and felt heart-warming. "It''s all thanks to Sebastian. He is the one in charge of
nning this out."
"He is such an incredible person. Not only is he rich and handsome, but he is also a good husband and
father figure to you and the children. He''s simply incredible!" Amy said sincerely.
Inparison with Sebastian, Noah was even worse! Noah always thought highly of himself,
considering himself a prodigy, and kept looking down on others. Yet,pared to Sebastian, he was
nothing but mere dust!
Sebastian was superior in every aspect. Although he wasn''t the friendly type, the noble aura that
emanated from him made people feel inferior and respect him. It was different from Noah''s arrogant
and dismissive attitude!
Noah was nothingpared to Sebastian, yet he was more problematic than thetter.
In short, Amy was d that she had broken up with Noah!
Madeline felt delighted. Just as she was about to say something, her phone rang.
It was a call from Martin. "We have work to do, Madeline."
"Work?" Madeline''s spirits lifted. "Is it at thew firm?"
"Yes," Martin replied. "I''m in the reception room with the client."
"I''ll be right there!" Madeline hung up the phone and got up, feeling excited.
After all, theirw firm finally had a client who came to them proactively!
This was a good sign. As long as they could sessfully fulfill the client''s request, theirw firm''s
reputation would grow as time passed. At that moment, they would have countless business
opportunities in the future. Only by taking action could thew firm thrive!
"Can I tag along, Maddie?" Amy asked eagerly.
Madeline smiled and nodded. "Of course."
Then, the duo went to the reception room together.
On the other hand, in the reception room, a middle-aged man was sitting there with Martin.
The middle-aged man was tall and handsome. He emitted an intimidating aura, looking like someone
from a high position.
Madeline approached him and exchanged a few words of greeting before introducing herself. "I''m
Madeline Taylor, the person in charge of thew firm. If you have any requests, you can tell me about
it."
"Thank you," Dn replied. "I want to entrust you to find someone for me."
Madeline asked, "Whom are you looking for? Do you have any specific characteristics?"
"My son..." replied Dn. "I don''t know what characteristics he has, though. He went missing at a very
young age..."
Madeline was taken aback. "How old is he now? Where did he go missing? Do you have any clues?"
"He is twenty-six years old and went missing in Dusktown." Dn shook his head. "I don''t have any
more clues..."
Madeline pondered momentarily and said, "If that''s the case, it''s like finding a needle in a haystack. We
can only promise you that we will do our best to find him, but the chances of finding him are low."
After all, too many children went missing every year. Madeline''s master''s son had been missing for
years, and her master had tried everything to find him, but to no avail. Thus, if Dn had no valuable
clues, she felt the hope of finding his son was slim.
"It''s not like there are no clues at all..." Dn hesitated.
"Please rest assured, Mr. Hahn. Ourw firm''s top principle is to keep our client''s information
confidential," Madeline assured him, knowing what he was concerned about. "Mr. Hahn, I can
guarantee that everything you say today in ourw firm will stay between us. No one other than those
presented here will know. This is our professional ethics, so you don''t have to worry about it." She
paused. "If you want to find your son, tell us everything. Provide as many clues as possible. Only then
do we have a chance to help you find your son."
Dn hesitated momentarily and sighed. "Okay, I''ll tell you... To be honest, my son didn''t go missing.
He was given away by my mother..."
N?vel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
"Given away?" Madeline was surprised. "If your mother gave your son away, can''t you just ask her
about his whereabouts?"
"It''s not that easy." Dn smiled bitterly. "On the day my son was born, my father passed away. My
mother and wife didn''t get along well. Thus, she med my son for my father''s death, saying he was a
jinx. She secretly gave my son to someone else without telling me... When I finished dealing with my
father''s funeral and went to look for my son, he was long gone..."
Hearing his words, Madeline was speechless. In her line of work, she had seen many weird things, but
this was the first time she encountered a grandmother giving away her own grandson. Yet, it wasn''t
surprising. After all, many elderly people were superstitious. Plus, Dn''s mother and wife were in a
bad rtionship. Thus, it was possible for Dn''s mother to do something heartless like this.
Dn couldn''t face Madeline and looked down at the table in embarrassment. "After dealing with my
father''s funeral, I begged my mother to tell me my son was after I found out he was gone. However,
she refused to say anything..."
Martin couldn''t help but interrupt. "So you just gave up after she refused to say anything? That''s your
own flesh and blood!"
"Of course, I didn''t give up," said Dn. "I used all the resources I had to search for him..."
"There''s no point in that," said Martin. "Even if you have thousands of connections, it''s still not as
effective as your mother telling the truth. You should have asked her about your son''s whereabouts."
Dn smiled bitterly and said, "I understand your point of view, but I can''t do it. My mother was very
dependent on my father. After my father passed away, she wanted to die too. When I asked my mother
about my son''s whereabouts, she threatened tomit suicide. She cut her wrist. If I hadn''t discovered
it early, she would have died too... There''s nothing I can do."
Martin said, "If she threatens tomit suicide, you can do the same thing! If she cares about you, she
will tell you where your son is."
Dn was stunned by his words.
This was a good idea, but Dn hadn''t thought about it then. At that moment, he regretted his
decisions and thought, If I had used this method back then, would I have found my son long ago?
In the meantime, Madeline shook her head at Martin.
Martin smiled at her and stopped talking.
He loathed Dn. He doubted that thetter didn''t think about such a possibility. In fact, he believed
that Dn had given up finding his son for his mother''s sake. After all, his mother and son couldn''t get
along well. Thus, if he had found his son back, his mother would cause trouble. That was why Dn
gave up on searching for his son.
Yet, why did Dn want to find his son after he had given up back then?
Madeline asked the question. "May I ask if your mother is still alive? Does she know that you are
looking for your son? Did she agree to help you to find him? If she agrees, perhaps we can use her as
a breakthrough. She sent your son away, so we might be able to get some clues from her."
