    Chapter 10 Don’t Push Your Luck


    It was the first time someone ever called him stupid, and it stunned Sebastian. I’m not stupid. I just feel


    like spoiling him because he’s so adorable. I can’t hold back, really. Oh no, I did hold back a little. I


    would have given him ten million, but he’s too young to handle that kind of money.


    The boy was adorable, and he felt a surge of affection for him, so he gave free money for once. But he


    thinks I’m stupid? Cheeky, isn’t he? Philip would sometimes talk about Sebastian’s childhood, and he


    said Sebastian was a cheeky boy who would prank everyone everyday. He was an annoying boy,


    ording to Philip, but Sebastian didn’t believe that.


    Everyone uses me as an example to motivate their kids. I’m a brilliant man, and many people want to


    be me. I couldn’t have annoyed people. But when he saw how cheeky Buddy was, he was starting to


    believe his father. If this is my boy, and if he takes after me, then I might have been an annoying brat at


    some point.


    “What did I tell you, Buddy?” Madeline said seriously, breaking his train of thoughts. “We can’t scam


    someone just because they’re stupid. Give the man his money back.”

    Buddy was reluctant to give the money back. I worked hard to make this kind of money. I don’t wanna


    give it back. But he was a good boy, so he had to listen to his mother. A momentter, he came back to


    Sebastian and looked up at him. “Mister, you want to know why I bet that Mom would lose, right?”


    “Yes.” Sebastian stooped down and looked him in the eye. “Can you tell me why?”


    “Sure.” Buddy tilted his head to the side and grinned. “Ny-nine thousand and nine hundred per


    question.”


    I see. He doesn’t want to give me back the money. Good. I don’t want it either. He wanted to spoil the


    boy, so he was willing to give him whatever he wanted. “Okay.” He nodded.


    Delighted, Buddy came closer to him and whispered, “Because Aldo told me that we were born


    because you and Mom had a fight.”

    Buddy continued, “The books say giving birth is painful, so I think Mom must have lost to you, and


    that’s why she had to bear your kids.” He seemed sure about that. “If she gave birth to us because she


    lost to you, then of course she would lose to you again.”


    Sebastian asked, “If you think your mother would lose, why did you encourage her to fight me then?


    And you said you wanted to see your mother beat me up. But if you think I would win, doesn’t that


    mean I would be the one doing the beating? You should have told her not to fight me.”


    Buddy blinked again. He turned his wristwatch on and showed him a QR code. “Same price for that


    question.”


    Wow. He really loves money.


    Madeline came over and smacked her son on his head. “Don’t push your luck, Buddy.” She let the first


    time slide, since Sebastian seemed rich. A hundred grand probably means nothing to him. But going at


    it again is just being too cheeky.
