Chapter 1185: Alakazam’s Riot and Awakening

Chapter 1185: kazam''s Riot and Awakening

Yuga was busy for over a week without results, so he chose to returned to Verdanturf Town. After all, he was just a Gym Leader, not a detective, and capturing dark organizations wasn''t really his job. He''d already gone above and beyond by helping as much as he did.

The battle of the six legendary Pokémon at sea was kept strictly confidential by the League, so the public remained unaware. Everyone at YoYo Day Care only knew that Yuga had a secret mission outside, but the specifics were unknown.

"Hey, Gym Leader Shimizu is back! I haven''t seen you in days!"

"Yes, it''s been a while! I returned as soon as I finished up."

    ...

After a week of not appearing in the shop, Yuga returned to the old store in the morning after making Pokéblocks with Misaki and the others at the new store. The regr customers greeted him enthusiastically.

After helping Suzuki Koen and Ayaka in the store for a while, Yuga went upstairs to Windy''s office. He felt it was time to list some new Pokémon in the shop, especially as the system''s main mission deadline was approaching.

While there was no penalty for failing the mission, missing out on the rewards would be a shame!

After discussing with Windy for a while, Yuga decided to list three types of Pokémon for sale: Buneary, Ekans/Seviper, and Amaura.

The Buneary poption had been in the Ecopark for some time, and through intermarriage with the Medicham, their numbers had gradually reached a sustainable level for sales.

Ekans and Seviper would be listed as one Pokémon type; they lived together, interbred, and had simr market prices, so selling them together wasn''t an issue, especially since their poption was still too small to sell separately.

Although the Amaura had only recentlye to the Ecopark, their numbers were naturallyrge. Most of then were at the prime breeding age, with high overall species potential, so they reproduced quickly, with a higher probability of producing high potential offspringpared to other species.

Yuga set a limit of one Buneary and one Ekans/Seviper per month, while Amaura would be sold every two months.

Both Buneary and Ekans/Seviper were rtivelymon species, so their prices were affordable; however, Amaura was rare and very expensive, almost on par with the market price of Ralts or Riolu.

With the advent of fossil revival devices, fossil Pokémon in trainers'' hands were no longer rare, but the fossils themselves remained limited in supply, and the revived species were usually Omanyte, Kabuto, Lileep, andmon fossil Pokémon.

Because of this, rarer or more powerful fossil species like Aerodactyl, Amaura, Tyrunt, and Archen were far more expensive thanmon fossil Pokémon, and finding high-potential specimens of these rare fossil Pokémon was even more challenging.

Currently, most revived Amaura and Aurorus lived in major research institutes under strict protection and were ssified as protected Pokémon, making it impossible to sell them. YoYo Day Care would be the first one to take this step.

After discussing listing details with Windy, Yuga joined him to photograph the new Pokémon, record their data, and upload their images.

Since the new month was about to begin, the new Pokémon could go on pre-sale right away.

For the first month, Yuga decided to include an Amaura in the pre-sale despite it being a two-month sale item, hoping to generate some buzz.

As expected, the pre-sale channel opened, and the listed Pokémon were immediately reserved, especially the Amaura, which caused a huge sensation on the YoYo Day Care website.

However, while the new Pokémon had been listed, Yuga''s main mission didn''t immediately show asplete because the system deadline hadn''t arrived yet.

Listing these three Pokémon species was just the minimum requirement forpleting this mission; the more species he listed, the higher his evaluation and the better his rewards would be. So, he''d have to wait until the deadline for the system to assess the mission results.

For now, managing to list three new Pokémon was already Yuga''s limit. He couldn''t exhaust his resources just toplete a mission.

After returning the photographed and measured Pokémon to the Ecopark, Mayor Ishida suddenly called Yuga to vent. He said that although strange events happen every year, this year was exceptional. In one of the viges under Verdanturf Town''s jurisdiction, over half of the families had suddenly decided to move — all to the same ce.

Moving was the vigers'' choice, and Mayor Ishida couldn''t stop them, so he told the officials to let them go.

Upon hearing this, Yuga immediately thought of the People of the Vale vige that Damon had visited. After confirming with Mayor Ishida, he found that the vige in question was indeed inhabited by members of the People of the Vale.

Although Damon had returned to Unova, he had managed to persuade some members of the People of the Vale to move, undoubtedly with Zekrom''s help.

Not all of the People of the Vale had left; some chose to remain in the vige. Verdanturf Town had been developing well, bringing prosperity to its affiliated viges, and the residents were quite satisfied with their lives.

Yuga didn''t interfere in this matter; with Reshiram now in the League''s hands, it was uncertain if the events from the original movie plot would even take ce.

Following this, the courier department members who returned from Unova brought back official thanks from the Unova League. They were grateful for Yuga''s help in seizing Reshiram from Team sma and capturing the Shadow Triad, Team sma''s top enforcers.

Beyond verbal gratitude, they also sent a gift through the courier department: one hundred Sandiles.

Recently, an overpoption of Sandile had emerged in a desert area in Unova, nearly reaching the level of an infestation. Arge number of Sandile had flooded out of the desert, severely impacting nearby towns.

Since Yuga had helped them, the Unova League selected some of the better-potential Sandile from those they''d captured as a gift to him, a bit like a favor in return.

Out of the hundred Sandile sent, twenty had green potential, which were all the high-potential Sandile from the outbreak, while the rest were yellow potential Sandile. The Unova League, knowing that Yuga had the Innovation Potion, included some yellow-potential Sandile in the mix.

Yuga already had four Sandile in his Ecopark, so this new batch would be perfectpanions for them.

Through the courier department, Yuga also learned about the current status of Reshiram and N.

With the League''s assistance, the severely injured Reshiram reverted from stone back into its true form and agreed to ally with the League as a guardian Pokémon. However, the details of how the Unova League managed to convince Reshiram were unknown to the courier members.

Reshiram did have one condition: they had to protect N.

The Unova League readily agreed since they hadn''t intended to harm N in the first ce.

Upon examining N more closely, the League found that he was genuinely kind-hearted but had been misguided by Ghetsis, resulting in his extreme beliefs. N was under the impression that Pokémon with humans were unfree and unhappy.

    But that wasn''t the reality.

To help N change his perspective, the Unova League made a decision: they would enroll him in a school to be a true trainer. Only by experiencing firsthand how trainers and Pokémon coexist could he truly understand the rtionship between humans and Pokémon.

N had recently enrolled in Unova''s most renowned public high school, Aspertia Trainer''s School. Though he encountered various challenges interacting with peers his age, overall, things were going smoothly.

To prevent any future contact with Team sma, the League assigned a guardian to N, who also serves as his protector. They even gave him a new identity, changing his distinctive green hair and cutting it short.

As for N''s new identity, the courier department''s returning members didn''t know, as it was ssified information. The Unova League only allowed them ess to details about Reshiram and N''s situation to update Yuga.

After settling all the Sandile in the Desert Sub-Ecopark, Yuga was about to leave when he noticed a sudden whirlwind forming in the distance, quickly bing a full sandstorm.

Soon After, Nana, Gothitelle, Spoink, and Cosmoem appeared close to the sandstorm.

"What''s going on?" Yuga wondered aloud.

Just then, a Flygon flew overhead, and Yuga signaled it to bring him closer.

Arriving at the sandstorm, Yuga saw an kazam floating at the center, its eyes shing with purple light as it unleashed a psychic storm, creating the sand tornado.

"What happened?" Yuga asked Nana urgently uponnding.

    Nana quickly exined the situation.

kazam had been in a deep slumber, never once waking up. However today, Cosmoem had found arge, rainbow-colored stone from somewhere, and as soon as it neared kazam, an unknown energy surged into kazam''s body, triggering its psychic powers into a frenzy.

Seeing the psychic storm grow increasingly destructive, Nana had teleported kazam to the Desert Sub-Ecopark to prevent damage to the main Ecpark and its inhabitants.

Gothitelle and Spoink, who came from the same ce as kazam, followed along, worried.

Looking over at Cosmoem, Yuga saw it hovering beside therge, rainbow-colored stone, nearly as tall as half a person—it was indeed a fragment of the giant stone, evenrger than the one he and Steven had found.

"Where did you get this?" Yuga asked, exasperated.

Cosmoem replied, feeling wronged, "I found it! You all picked some up too, didn''t you?"

"Then why didn''t you tell me first? Look at the mess now!" Yuga was baffled at how Cosmoem had managed to bring back something so huge without anyone noticing.

Seeing Yuga''s frustration, Cosmoem tried to appease him by pushing the stone fragment toward him as a gift.

Yuga stored the stone fragment in his system space and said, annoyed, "We''ll talk about thister!"

"Nana, is there a way to calm kazam''s psychic outburst?" Yuga asked her.

Nana thought for a moment before answering, "I can give it a try."

Nana slowly floated into the sky until she was level with kazam. Her psychic energy surged, directing itself onto the sandstorm to prevent it from expanding any further.

However, Nana''s actions seemed to provoke kazam. The purple glow in kazam''s eyes flickered more rapidly as it released another burst of psychic power, summoning a sand-formed dragon thatshed out swiftly at Nana.

Although kazam''s eyes were open, it was clear that its consciousness hadn''t fully awakened.

Nana crossed her arms in front of her chest, forming a protective psychic barrier, but the sand dragon still managed to knock her back, creating a sandpit on the ground where she fell.

Fortunately, Nana''s powerful psychic shield protected her from any injuries.

"Gengar, Mismagius,e out and help Nana!"

Seeing this, Yuga quickly called upon Gengar and Mismagius. As Ghost-type Pokémon, their psychic power was second only to that of Psychic-type Pokémon, and with Chimecho absent, Gengar and Mismagius were the best choices to assist.

"Be careful! Don''t harm kazam!" Yuga called out again.

Nana ascended into the air once more, positioning herself with Gengar and Mismagius around kazam in a triangr formation, channeling theirbined psychic power onto the sandstorm.

Finally, thebined psychic pressure from the three Pokémon caused the sandstorm to shatter, and the sand stirred up by kazam''s psychic vortex began to fall quietly to the ground.

But it wasn''t over yet. An even stronger wave of psychic power suddenly burst forth from kazam, instantly knocking back Gengar, Mismagius, and Nana.

As they regrouped, preparing to suppress kazam again, they noticed that kazam''s psychic energy had somehow linked with Gothitelle, who stood nearby.

Due to a gic defect, Gothitelle was not only unable to use any moves, but she also couldn''t tap into her psychic energy at allpletely opposite to the slumbering kazam, whose intense psychic power suppressed its own consciousness.

Connected to kazam''s psychic power, Gothitelle suddenly felt her own psychic abilities awaken. She could now effortlessly control her psychic energy and even sense kazam''s consciousness.

kazam wanted to awaken and move freely, but the overwhelming pressure of its own psychic power caused it immense pain, which was why the psychic storm had erupted.

Gothitelle slowly extended a hand, her gaze fixed on kazam. Under her control, kazam floated gently toward her.

Seeing this, Yuga quickly signaled Gengar and the others to hold back.

Gothitelle embraced kazam slowly, pressing her forehead gently against his. kazam didn''t resist; instead, the violent psychic energy radiating from it gradually softened.

After an unknown length of time, kazam''s psychic outburst fully subsided. It slowly opened its eyes, meeting Gothitelle''s gentle gaze as their foreheads rested together.

Gothitelle''s eyes held a calming warmth, as if assuring kazam that everything was all right, that the storm had passed.

The psychic connection between kazam and Gothitelle did not break. Every nce, every movement, was effortlessly understood by the other, as they had truly achieved a perfect harmony of heart and mind.
