    “It’s wrong to leave!” said Nate. “Leaving Sophie. My mum! I have been planning my escape for weeks. I was supposed to head to Chaos Cross, then take the train to Denewood.”


    “It’s no use! It won’t work,” said Kenya.


    They continued in silence until they reached the Horses of Helios on the corner of Hypermarket and Piccadilly. Nate stared. In Quotidian, they burst from the fountain with a dark bronze patina, captivating everyone with their majestic presence. But here, they showed a terrifying expression.     She tugged him to continue. “We are not safe, Nate. Follow me.”
