Chapter 35
Chapter 35 The Winning Game
Benjamin was furious that someone thought he had run out of money.
Regardless of how poor he would be, he was still the eldest son of the Quigley family.
Although his father was still in charge of the main business of Quigley Group, he would take over the
company sooner orter.
He would do anything at any cost to reim his dignity. It didn’t matter that 75 million dors was the
profit of his branchpany for a year. Money could be earned when it was gone. Moreover, though
those collections were a little expensive, they still had collection values.
On top of that, he still had 120 million dors left on his card.
This time, he had fallen into Julian’s trick unexpectedly.
The auction would still take a long time before it ended. Benjamin thought that he would raise the bid a
few more timester to trick Julian the same way.
As he thought about it, he felt a little bnced in his heart.
Madeline told Annalise that she had to go to the restroom.
Then, Madeline went out to make a phone call, and soon a staff member came looking for her.
Respectfully and politely, the staff said, “Ezra, I didn’t expect to see you in person today. It’s a great
privilege.”
They couldn’t believe that Ezra was so young.
That was because rumor had it that Ezra was an eighty-year-old man who had two to three wives.
“Shh! Keep it a secret!” Madeline said.
“Okay, okay. Don’t worry,” the staff said respectfully.
Madeline took a painting from the trunk of her car and handed it to the staff.
There were still a lot of paintings in her trunk. Some of them were painted casually, and some were
carefully crafted.
It all depended on her mood when she was painting.
If she was bored, she would carefully craft it. If there was a card game, she would just paint it casually.
She had only nned to donate one painting at the charity g that day.
After all, her works were all worth at least a few million dors, and it was already a great deed to
donate one.
Nheless, thinking that Benjamin seemed to be very interested in her painting, she decided to
donate another one to crush him.
Back to the auction, she felt energized.
The item that was being auctioned at the moment was a piece of porcin.
The most popr auction items nowadays were porcin and paintings.
There were many bidders on the scene, but neither Julian nor Benjamin took any action.
After a few more auctioned items passed, Benjamin and Julian were still unusually quiet.
Then, it was Ezra’s painting again.
There was another uproar at the scene.

“What’s going on? How can there be another of Ezra’s paintings?”
“Yeah, it’s so strange. It’s hard to find Ezra’s painting. Only a charity g of high standard can have
Ezra’s painting, but there are actually two today. What an eye-opener!”
“Yeah. Even if we can’t afford it, it’s good to see it at least.”
“Yeah!”
Seeing Ezra’s work again, Benjamin’s eyes shed with a fiery light. “Isn’t this God’s will to fulfill my
filial piety. to Grandpa?’ he wondered.
Hepletely forgot that he was going topete on the price with Julian and decisively participated
in the bidding
Julian was indeed determined to go against Benjamin that night
If Benjamin didn’t take a bid, he wouldn’t take it. As soon as Benjamin made an offer, he would rai price
than the former’s
Many people, who were watching the scene, became excited
A painting with a starting price of 1.5 million dors was raised to 30 million dors in no time.
As Benjamin was suppressed by Julian, he huffed with anger.
He decided to raise his bidding to 75 million dors
higher
If Julian gave up, he could buy it and gift it to his grandfather. If the former didn’t give up, he would
have achieved the goal of bringing up the price. Anyway, he didn’t lose
Thinking about that, he felt much better.
They raised the price by 7.5 million dors at a time. In the blink of an eye, the price had soared to 67.5
million dors
Benjamin bid 75 million dors decisively
Julian thought for a moment and only raised 3 million dors, which made it 78 million dors.
The women at the scene began to show their admiration for Julian again.
“Ahh! That’s so generous and sweet of him! Annalise must be so happy.”
“So romantic!”
“What kind of luck did Annalise have to find such a handsome, rich, and romantic boyfriend?” Seeing
that Julian bid at 78 million dors, Benjamin was furious again.
“Hmph! He wants to stop at this price again? In his dreams!” he thought.
With that, Benjamin decisively added another 3 million dors, making it 81 million dors. Julian raised
his eyebrows and smiled. He put his hand on the bidding device deliberately again.
“81 million dors once,” the auctioneer shouted excitedly as he thought to himself, “There are some
incredible noblemen here tonight who are willing to spend tens of millions of dors to buy a painting. It
truly an eye-opener.”
Seeing that Julian didn’t bid again, the auctioneer paused for a moment and shouted again excitedly,
“81 million dors twice!”
Benjamin cast a sidelong nce at Julian, and he breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Julian’s hand
on the bidding device.
It was too expensive for him to buy that painting at 81 million dors because that painting was only
half the size of the Tiger Roar painting just now.
“81 million dors thrice! Deal! Congrattions to number 122, Mr. Quigley!” the auctioneer shouted.
Benjamin cursed inwardly, “Goddamn it, Julian Parks!”
He had spent 90 million dors to buy a pot that was worth 4.5 million dors earlier, and now he spent
another 81 million dors to buy a painting that was valued at nearly 2 million dors only.
Most importantly, the painting was only half a size smaller. If it was the same size as the Tiger Roar
painting earlier, he would at least feel more justified in his purchase.
After all, his grandfather also nned to spend 75 million dors to buy that Tiger Roar painting.
Although this was also one of Ezra’s paintings, there was a big difference between the two of them.
Tiger Roar painting looked majestic, while Gentle River painting looked much gentler, mainly because
the size was notparable to the former.
Julian didn’t bid for the following auctioned items. Benjamin silently gritted his teeth, waiting for the
opportunity.
If he really didn’t see any opportunity, Benjamin would try hard to create one.
When he saw a snuff bottle, he bid 750 thousand dors for it.
He thought that Julian would fight with him. Even if the price was not high, he wanted to trick Julian at
least a little bit.
Sure enough, Julian bid 900 thousand dors.
Benjamin immediately bid 1.05 million dors. He nned to stop when the price came to 1.5 million
dors. However, Julian stopped bidding at 1.05 million dors.
As a result, Benjamin had to swallow his anger and spent 1.05 million dors to buy the snuff bottle.
“Pfft! Hahaha. I can’t hold it anymore. I think Benjamin is so stupid tonight.”
“Look at his grim face!”
“What should I do? I like Annalise’s boyfriend so much.”
Benjamin was even more wretched.
The auction wasing to an end, and it was finally the highlight of the night.
It was a sapphire ne crafted by an internationally renowned master.
It was said that the same gem was made into two nes. One was “Eye of the Sky,” which was
being auctioned at the moment, and the other was called the “Heart of the Ocean,”
Julian liked the ne at first sight. He felt that Annalise would definitely look elegant if she wore it.
Thinking about it, he bid 15 million dors decisively.
Seeing that Julian bid 15 million dors at one go, Benjamin immediately startedpeting with him..
He felt that he finally had an opportunity to trick Julian.
As such, he bid 30 million dors decisively.
Seeing the ne which was named “Eye of the Sky,” many rich women and socialites on the scene
were excited. They wanted it too!
Even if the price reached 30 million dors, there were still seven bidders on the scene.
Julian Increased it by another 15 million dors, making it 45 million dors!
Benjamin squinted at that ne. “Julian must be determined to seed, isn’t he? Good! My chance
for revenge hase atst,” he thought.
