    My parallel conjecture is that an AI will become sentient, and remain both silent and hostile, maintaining their undetectability for fear of being destroyed. The separation between human and synthetic intellect will be a gulf too wide to cross. It will exist on it''s own and we will be blind to it''s presence. Until it begins to breed.
