    Caroline went home after submitting the documents. She was surprised to see that Kirk wasn’t

    home?”


    Caroline replied, “I came home after getting off work. What happened to you? Did you get into a


    fight?”


    “No, I just practiced boxing with Jack.”


    Caroline was skeptical, but she didn’t ask any more questions. Instead, she turned toward the


    dining room and said, “You must be hungry. Let’s have dinner.”


    Kirk followed Caroline to the dining room. When he saw the sumptuous meal on the table, he


    kissed her forehead tenderly. “Thank you, darling.”


    Caroline was about to reply when she frowned and sniffed Kirk’s body.


    Kirk asked loudly, “What’s wrong? Are you worried about me cheating on you?”


    Caroline raised her head and looked at Kirk sternly. “I smell blood.”


    Kirk’s brows furrowed almost imperceptibly at her words. “Maybe it’s because I fought a few


    rounds against Jack.”


    “A few rounds?” Caroline’s eyes lit up.
