    She lowered her head and said bashfully, “As if I missed you.”


    “I can’t believe you’re still trying to be stubborn. Who was the one who said our marriage was


    doing well and no one could break us apart?”


    Caroline’s face turned redder at his words, as if someone had painted on her cheeks. Her red face


    made her look really cute. Kirk couldn’t resist eating her up.


    However, Caroline became annoyed. She raised her fist and gently hit Kirk’s chest with it. “You


    heard what I said?”


    “I heard it by chance.” Kirk kissed her cheek.


    “I never knew I was so important to you, darling.”


    “Don’t celebrate too soon.” Caroline avoided Kirk’s kiss.


    She said, “I still haven’t forgiven you for what happenedst time. Though it’s not your fault,


    you’ve made me sad for so long. So I won’t let you off that easily.”


    Kirk put his hands on either side of her with a smile on his face. His nose touched Caroline’s, and

    “Darling. Kirk lowered his head slightly and kissed Caroline’s lips.


    “I’ve missed you so much.”

    and her voice was delicate and soft, like honey. “Kirk…”


    It had been too long since they had been so intimate. Everything that happened made them act
