    “It’s all right.” Caroline smiled. After watching him enter the hotel, she turned to look at Kirk again. Kirk


    was still talking on the phone.

    want toe home.”


    As he spoke, he hugged Caroline. “Let’s have a baby”


    He’d initially thought that he could wait, but he couldn’t anymore. He wanted a child with Caroline, one


    that belonged to them alone. It was the only way to leave his mark on her.


    Seeing the tenderness swirling in Kirk’s gaze, Caroline was tempted, but she remained rational. She


    said, “We’ll talk about thister.”
