    Helplessly, Alex clenched his fists. “I came today because-


    “I know. It’s about Paige.” Caroline sat down on the sofa. “But I respect all of Paige’s decisions.”


    Alex also took a seat. “I know you respect her because you guys are besties, but can you tell me what


    happened since I’m her fiance‘ and I’ve diligently taken good care of her?”


    After a restless night, Caroline had a headache from Alex’s endless questions.


    “I can’t tell you, Alex. I’ve promised to keep it a secret,” Caroline said helplessly.
