After a moment’s thought, Yuliana asked, “Neil, why did you ept Caroline?”
The smile on Neil’s face faded. “Yulia, you shouldn’t be hostile toward her.”

Neil leaned back. “Since you know the person I am, why do you think I can’t see Caroline’s true
character?”
Yuliana was taken aback. “Neil… I’m not saying you can’t see her character…”
“Yulia, your hostility toward her is because of your feelings for Evan. What if you didn’t have feelings for
him?” Neil asked, his tone resolute.
Yuliana expressed regret. “I haven’t considered that.”
Neil continued. “Yulia, it’s natural for you to be skeptical of her and specte based on your beliefs.
Yuliana was stunned. “She’s your biological sister, Neil. Aren’t you angry?”
“I’d be lying if I said I’m not angry. However, everyone has their own opinion, right?” Neil replied with a
resigned smile.
“So?”
The waitress brought the sorbet as her voice faded.
Neil handed a spoon to Yuliana. “It’s nothing. But I’m curious. Why do you think Carol is promiscuous?”
“Her rtionship with Evan isn’t straightforward, right? And she pursued a rtionship with Dr. Wilson
simultaneously,” Yuliana exined.
“Who told you that?” Neil inquired.
Yuliana replied, ‘I won’t reveal my source.”
Nell contemted and asked, “You’ve been investigating Carol for a while, haven’t you? You didn’t find
any evidence against her, did you?”
Yuliana looked disheartened, her shoulders slumping. “No…”
“Instead of wasting time on this, can you do me a favor?” Neil suggested.
“What is it?”
“Help me keep an eye on Scott.”
Yuliana was puzzled. Doesn’t he already know about Caroline’s rtionship with Scott? Why is he
asking me to investigate him?”
Yuliana asked, “Neil, why do you want me to investigate him?”
Neil paused for a moment. “I have a feeling that Scott might not have genuine feelings for Carol, In fact,
something seems off about him. Please help me monitor if he’s interacting with unusual people beyond
his work at the hospital.”
