Just then, Kenny walked in from outside.
When he saw so much delicious food on the table, he walked up to Caroline angrily andined.
“G, why didn’t you tell me you were cooking so much delicious food”
Caroline pulled out the chair beside her and said with a smile, “I thought you weren’ting back
today
Kenny sat down with a huff. “You heartless woman. You abandoned me to go out and y on your own
and didn’t even say hello when you came back! I’ve been running between thepany and the

Before Kenny could finishining, Jamie stuffed a mouthful of food into his mouth

Caroline covered her ears and said, “Don’t scream. Sit down, and we can talk about it nicely.”
Kenny sat down again. “G, how long have you known about this? Why didn’t you tell me? I was
wondering why the children are addressing her differently.”
“Didn’t you notice anything wrong when they changed the way they addressed her?” Caroline. looked
at him speechlessly.
Kenny mumbled, “I thought it was on a mere moment of impulse and didn’t think much of it. Does
Evan know about this?”
“Yes” Caroline took a sip of her orange juice. “Jamie doesn’t want to go with him.”
“Oh, even his own mother doesn’t want to go back with him. I guess he really isn’t a good person.”
Kenny pouted.
“Don’t take it out of context. There are some things you don’t know
“That’s right!” Before Caroline could finish, Liorn suddenly said, “Don’t keep calling Daddy a scumbag.”
Everyone, except Jamie, looked at Liora in shock.

After dinner, Jamie yed with the children.
When it was time for bed, Caroline urged the children to go upstairs to sleep. After helping them with

front of the Lego set.
She walked to Jamie’s side and sat down. “Jamie, aren’t you going to sleep?”
Jamie shook her head and stared at the Lego pieces, lost in thought. “I want to finish building the
final roof for the children.”
Caroline couldn’t help butugh. “Jamie, you won’t finish that roof in one night. It will probably
take at least three or four days.
