    Chapter 382

Thunderstruck, everyone shook their heads vehemently. “No, no, no, no, no, of course not! Ms. Harris,

we would never dare to lie to you!”

“Yes, Ms. Harris, rest assured, our lips are sealed,” another person echoed in agreement.

Gwendolyn nodded affirmatively and discreetly signaled the guards, conveying her instructions to

carefully monitor how they deleted the videos properly.

Afterward, Gwendolyn turned on her heels and exited the film studio without casting a nce behind

her. She promptly instructed William and Quinton to escort Jennifer back home.

During the journey back to Angle, Gwendolyn was still thinking about Eloise.

Eloise, known for her vicious and arrogant nature, hardly had any friends. Evelyn was one of the few

individuals who were associated with her.

During Eloise’s birthday party a while ago, it was Evelyn who helped here up with the scheme.

Could Evelyn be the mastermind behind this again? Did she intentionally instigate Eloise to cause

trouble this time? But then again, though Evelyn was young, she had always been thoughtful and

meticulous. It doesn’t seem like she would be so careless.

Gwendolyn gazed out of the window, Eloise’s words echoing in her mind, reying over and over

    again.

She believed Eloise was trying to sow discord between her and Cedrick by making those remarks.

Cedrick and I have been through thick and thin. It would be foolish of her to think that she could tear us

    apart.

The car soon arrived at Angle’s underground car park while she was still in deep contemtion.

Gwendolyn then took the elevator and went straight to the top floor.

The moment she stepped out of the elevator, Joanne approached her. “Ms. Harris, the representative

from Erihal has arrived to discuss business with you. He’s waiting for you in the reception room.”

Before this, Gwendolyn had finalized the trade tax exemption rights with Gerhardt when she was in

Erihal. She had entrusted the task to Treyton ever since.

“All right. Got it,” Gwendolyn replied nonchntly.

She went back to her office to change into a fresh set of clothes before making her way to the reception

    room.

As she opened the door, her eyes met the exquisite azure blue eyes of the man standing there.

“Mr. Caesar! I’m pleasantly surprised to see you here,” Gwendolyn eximed with a grin, not expecting

    his presence.

Caesar’s handsome face lit up with a genuine smile that radiated warmth from within.

With his right hand extended, Caesar greeted Gwendolyn. “Good to see you, Ms. Harris. I’m here as a

representative of Erihal to discuss business with you. I volunteered for this opportunity to gain more

    experience.”

Gwendolyn held a favorable impression of Caesar, as he had extended a helping hand to her during

her time in Erihal. His down-to-earth nature further solidified her positive impression of him.

“Nice to meet you too. I hope we’ll have a pleasant coboration.” She extended her right hand,

mirroring Caesar’s gesture, ready for a handshake.

Gwendolyn maintained a professional tone as she prepared to discuss business. She understood the

importance of separating personal rtionships from professional matters and was determined not to

let it interfere with their conversation.

Joanne positioned herself behind Gwendolyn and Caesar, diligently taking notes of their business

    discussion.

After three hours of intense discussion, Gwendolyn and Caesar finally reached a consensus on their

business coboration. She even took the opportunity to promote a few of their popr series to

Caesar, securing overseas screening rights for their productions.

By the time they had finished discussing the additional uses in the contract, it was time to call it a

    day.

Caesar looked at Gwendolyn with anticipation, his blue eyes filled with hope. “Ms. Harris, I’m

wondering if I might have the honor of dining with you tonight to celebrate our first coboration?”

Gwendolyn pondered for a moment and thought it would be a nice gesture to treat Caesar to a meal,

given that he had traveled to Chanaea and that she also needed his assistance in broadcasting the

    series overseas.

However, she hesitated, concerned that the man at home might be jealous if he found out about

    her dinner ns with Caesar.

After a brief moment of hesitation, Gwendolyn smiled faintly and responded, “Sure, it’s your first trip to

Chanaea, so dinner’s on me tonight. I would love to have you try Chanaean cuisine, but since I’m

pregnant, I’ll ask the chef to adjust the vors a bit. Besides, I won’t be able to drink tonight, of course.”

Caesar was thrilled to hear that. “No worries. It’s my pleasure to dine with you, Ms. Harris. I’m sure

    everything will taste delicious.”

“You certainly have a way with words, Mr. Caesar,” she said.

“I mean every word I said!” he responded.

Engrossed in their conversation, Gwendolyn and Caesar were unaware of the awkward expression on

    Joanne’s face.

After carefully observing the expression in Caesar’s eyes for a while, Joanne discreetly reached for her

phone and sent a text message to Cedrick.

She could not help but feel a pang of guilt, and inwardly, Joanne kept apologizing. I’m so sorry, Ms.

Harris. I feel like a traitor, but Mr. Jenson wanted me to keep an eye on all the men in your workce,

and he offered me enticing incentives. I just couldn’t resist it. However, I believe that as your future

husband, he won’t make things difficult for you. Please don’t hold it against me…

After leaving the reception room, Gwendolyn quickly sent a text message to Cedrick: I won’t be able to

join you for dinner tonight. I have a business dinner to attend. Once it’s over, I’lle back and keep

    youpany. Behave yourself, okay, Ceddy?

She ended the text message with a puppy emoji.

Two secondster, before she could put down her phone, she received a text from him asking: How

many people? Are they men or women?

Gwendolyn stared at the message and froze for a moment. If I tell him I’ll be having dinner with Caesar,

I’m pretty sure he’ll get jealous.

Having that thought in mind she replied: I’m having dinner with several guests, both men and women.

Don’t worry, I’ll keep a distance from them.

She added another flying kiss emoji at the end of the message.

After sending the message, she no longer received a reply from him.

Gwendolyn did not dwell on it too much and continued engaging in conversation with Caesar as they

made their way downstairs in the elevator together.

Unbeknownst to her, the man who was already waiting for her in the car exploded in a fit of rage upon

    reading her message!

In his fury, he almost tore apart the only ck Shelby supercar, the exclusive model in the whole of

    Chanaea.

    A storm was definitely brewing.

Gwendolyn and Caesar walked side by side out of Angle Corporation. They were standing so close that

    their bodies almost touched.

Caesar asked, “Ms. Harris, I heard that you’re going to get married for real this time. Is that true?”

“Yup, the wedding is scheduled for next month. If you’re still around, I would be delighted to have you

at my wedding. And of course, I’ll be anticipating your wedding gift,” she quipped.

Caesar burst intoughter. “I will certainly prepare an exquisite gift for you on your wedding day!”

    N?velDrama.Org owns this.

Gwendolyn responded with a chuckle. “Don’t worry, when you get married, I’ll make sure to send a gift

even if I can’t make it to attend the wedding.”

Caesar let out a heartyugh, though there was a hint of concealed disappointment in his blue azure

    eyes.

“It’s still too early for me to get married. I fell in love with a girl I met not long ago, but I just found out

that she’ll be marrying someone else. I haven’t even started yearning for her, and I’ve already

    heartbroken.”

After finishing speaking, he lowered his eyes, and a hint of sadness permeated the air.

Gwendolynforted him with a reassuring smile. “Cheer up! I’m sure you’ll meet someone you like

soon—the girl destined to be your life partner.”

“I hope so.” Suddenly, Caesar stopped in his tracks and struck a gentleman’s pose, extending his hand

    gracefully.

“Ms. Harris, would you be kind enough to allow me to greet you with Epean formalities for onest

    time?” he asked.

“Sure,” she responded. It’s just a kiss on the back of my hand, isn’t it? No big deal.

Caesar gave her an infectious smile and bowed gracefully. “I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to dine

    with you tonight.”

He then lowered his head, but before his lips could reach Gwendolyn’s hand, arge palm emerged,

    gripping his wrist firmly.

An angry roar ensued. “You want to have dinner with her? Take this first!”

After the man finished speaking, a heavy punchnded squarely on Caesar’s right cheek.
