    Chapter 530

    Chapter 530

“I’m not hiding anything. Joshua is my patient. It’s my duty as a doctor to ensure he gets to rest in a

peaceful environment, undisturbed by anyone,” Sean replied, maintaining eye contact with Yves.

“And if I insist on seeing him?” Yves, in a rare show of emotion, challenged him.

Sean smiled slightly. “You won’t get in. There are three doors between here and the medical room

where Joshua is. Only someone with the correct password can enter.”

Yves rose from his seat, his hair was disheveled as before. He gave Sean a final look before exiting the

    meeting room.

Just when Sea thought. Yves was leaving the base he had sworn never to return 10, Yves approached

the first of the password protected doors.

Face recognition, retina scan, fingerprint identification, password, any of these could grant ess.

Yves studied the screen for a moment, then tapped a few keys.

    First attempt: password incorrect.

    Second attempt: password incorrect.

Sean listened to the mechanical volce announcing the failed attempts, a maelstrom of emotions

churning in his heart–relief that Yves could not enter, yet also a bitter sense of regret

Suddenly, a robotic voice rang out, “Password correct. Please enter.”

The doors slid open. Yves, his aura emanating a sense of aloofness, stepped inside.

    Sean was stunned.

    Password correct?

One thought dominated his mind as his eyes flickered in disbelief, all other emotions scattering in the

    face of this revtion

    Yves remembered

Regardless of his current expression, Sean found himself chasing after Yves‘ retreating figure. By the

time he had caught up. Yves had already navigated his way through the second door and was

    advancing toward the third.

“Yves!” Sean called out to him.

Unresponsive, Yves continued his forward trajectory. In a desperate move, Sean blocked his path.

There was an emotion–filled plea in his eyes. “Does knowing the password imply that…”

“No,” Yves interjected coldly, Interrupting Sean mid–sentence.

Before Sean could respond, Yves continued, his words were frigid, ced with hate, “The only reason I

remember the password is buvause I learned my lesson.”

“Yves, back then…” Sear began, attempting an exnation

The look Yves gave him was colder than that given to a stranger. That single nce was enough to

force Sean to swallow back the words he was about to utter, Yves had always detested his

exnations. To him, they were nothing butme excuses.

Moving past Sean, Yves approached the third door and attempted to input the same password as

before. However, this time, the password was incorrect.

Sean stood aside, not trying to stop Yves but also nat engaging him in conversation. His figure,

standing there, seemed somewhat deste. Each time they met, their rtionship worsened. Had it

not been for Joshua’s critical condition, he would not have sought K’s help, let alone ask for Yves

    ‘assistance.

Observing Yves, who was still attempting to decipher the password, he leaned against the wall, “You

can stop trying. You will never guess this password in a lifetime.”

    Yves nced at him.

    Sean did not flinch.

“Go back and tell Cynthia that Joshua still owes me a favor. I will treat him well, even without her

reminders. But it she dares to involve you again, I will erase her from Joshua’s memory.”
