    The atmosphere in the car immediately became heavy, almost palpably, causing Joshua’s mood to


    plummet. Yoel did not dare utter a word, fearing that he might unintentionally upset his boss. The car


    was eerily silent for the rest of the journey. After passing the third traffic light, Yoel pulled over. Cynthia


    got out, and this time, Joshua did not attempt to stop her.
