    “You mentioned you are interested in one of Yates Group’s new projects. Which one is it?” Mr. Yates


    asked politely while sitting in a chair, exuding a sense of maturity,


    Cynthia noticed a subtle change in Old Man Yates’s demeanor. What she did not know was that Mr.


    Yates was currently very dissatisfied with Joshua. Bringing her along without introducing her made him


    feel that Joshua did not care about Cynthia at all. This dissatisfaction gave him an imposing presence


    that subtly surpassed Joshua’s.


    Joshua sensed some hostility from Mr. Yates, but upon closer inspection, he figured he was just

    Joshua rified, “The AI robot project.”

    “No problem,” Joshua replied, knowing he was not there for serious business. He nced at Cynthia


    and, with a meaningful smile, asked, “I’m curious, aside from Shirley, does Chairman Yates have any


    other daughters?”


    “What do you mean?” Mr. Yates responded naturally.


    At that moment, Shirley looked up at them.


    Joshua continued calmly and seriously, “Some time ago, I heard someone in Jiverton iming to be an


    heir to Yates Group. I thought maybe Chairman Yates had another daughter besides Mrs. Neal.”
