    Riverbend Vige was a new development built a couple of years ago in the old town area. It was a


    middle to low-end residential area, located far from the city center, hence the affordable price.

    After the car stopped, a young and attractive woman got off, waved goodbye, and tossed the bouquet


    she received from a man into the trash can before heading into the vige.

    With that, she turned to leave


    The man slowly followed in his car, “Luci, 23 years old. Your sister Elisa Preston was assaultedst


    summer. During a dispute, she unintentionally hurt the perpetrator It was a minor injury, but he


    demanded arge sum of money to drop the charges. To prevent your sister from going to jail, you


    decided to be with Shawn, which is why you dropped out of school, right?”


    Luci stopped in her tracks, her hands clenched, her face as pale as a sheet.


    She turned to look at the man, her voice trembling, “What the hell do you want?”


    The man gave a slight smile, “Ms. Preston, get in the car. Maybe our boss can help you out of your


    predicament, so you can return to campus.”


    Luci had no other choice once her public facade was exposed.


    She opened the car door, looking pale. Sitting inside was a handsome man with a cold expression.


    Liam nced at her, speaking tly, “Get in.”


    Luci climbed in nervously, huddling in theer.


    The man turned the car around and drove off.

    He then pulled out a bank statement from a bag next to him and handed it to her, “Here’s a token of our


    sincerity.”


    Luci took the paper hesitantly, then froze.
